Now if you really like the watch, have the cash, and want to wear it for yourself than go for it, but don't expect a new watch to turn your life around in everyone else's eyes.

It's not to me. The watch would be legit something I buy because it's a personal goal.
I'd give up all this materialistic crap and money for a genuine loyal woman who loved me

You'll have a bunch of new expensive stuff, and that will be exciting.
Over time the excitement will wear off, and one day you'll find yourself sitting there alone in your room, asking the misc. wtf you should do now that you're broke and in debt, own a bunch of sh!t you don't really care about, and STILL FA AS FUK.
Do what you want, OP, but buying expensive things to "live a little" is a bandaid, not a solution to your FA problems.
Go get your testosterone and thyroid levels checked. srs.

unless you have 10k every few weeks to dump on watches, then it wont make you feel better.. compulsive buying to heighten self esteem or fill a void is addicting.
With that said, I still spend absurd amounts of money on dumb **** and don't plan on stopping... got a few watches I'm looking at totalling 60k.. plan on getting em all in the next year or two. (srs)... OP just don't end up spending your net worth everytime you build it high enough to afford something.

but saving till 24 to afford a 10k watch? if that's your biggest acheivement in the 7 years you've been making money (Assuming you've been working since 17), I got some bad news. you shoudl cherish that 10k and frame it on your wall or something If that all you've got to show.

Spend the money talking to a counselor.
Or at least buy some hookers who will give you affection, and let them know up front that you really just want them to pay attention to you and give you validation, so you'd probably spend the majority of the time telling them about your life problems, having them nurture and cuddle you, and at the end you may have some intimacy.
Basically just let them know that you're really interested in emotional intimacy, and physical pleasure is just something on the side that you'll receive as a bonus.

Why don't you invest that 10k liquid on experiences instead.
Go travelling for a few months. Just to get yourself out of your own head (imposed by your own perceived limitations btw).
See how guys in (insert 3rd world country of your choice here) live day to day, just trying to get enough food on the table and electricity in the house.
You're a walking stereotype of first world problems OP, and no woman is going to be interested in a guy who throws in the towel at life.
Get your sh*t together for f*cks sake.

You have some very deep rooted self-esteem issues that you desperately need to address, seek professional help (srs). BUT if you're going to spend $10k on a watch, I would go with either Omega or Rolex brah

Spend your money on experiences instead of really expensive possessions. Or go out to eat somewhere or do yoga or something and put yourself in a position to meet women
I had a cute girl start a conversation with me when I was out to eat and she overheard me saying to a friend on the phone that I should start doing yoga. We talked for another 20-30 min before I left and got her number. Obviously that doesn't happen every time you go out but if you put yourself in a position to meet someone like that it's totally possible

[QUOTE=ShortDave post_id=1440958031]Get a motorcycle.

I would go on rides alone and I would have to completely focus on the road. Because I could only focus on the road and not my problems, I used to feel goat when I got home and suddenly all my stresses would disappear.
Might genuinely get one again; probably a small engine because I live in the city hence a 600+ isn't really suitable

why don't you use that 10k to invest in something?
turn that 10k into 100k, than you can have all the watches you want.
obviously not that easy, but i think having a goal to focus on would be a lot more rewarding than just having some watch that you couldn't really afford anyway.

But how does an autistic basement dweller who lives with his parents to save money on rent and works 80 hour weeks in a corporate male-dominated field and doesn't lack confidence, but lacks experience, meet women? And meet good quality, relationship-material, loyal women, at that?

-You're not an autistic basement dweller. You're working a great job. You make decent money. You're a success. Stop viewing yourself in such a negative light.
-Grab a buddy off the misc who has experience with women and he'll teach you everything you need to know. You just have to be shown how it works and you'll learn how to do it yourself.
-Its hit or miss with women. Some might seem like great women but later you'll find out they're not. Its all trial and error at present. Don't try to settle down at your age. Focus on your career, aesthetics and women should be something that accompanies you through your life not the main priority.

WelshAutist, we've not always seen eye to eye in the past, but from a Miscer to a Miscer please don't blow 10k on a watch.
You seem to entertain only extreme permutations of how your life may play out, which isn't realistic or healthy. Stop over-analysing. Just follow your intuition and you'll find that the pieces will all fall gradually into place.

Have you ever actually tried approaching women at bars and wherever? It's not difficult. Most FAs give up before they've even started.

As for approaching in bars, lettuce be cereal, nobody finds a wife on a Friday night. Yes, I could probably get some sloots to kiss or hook up with, but how's that going to make me feel better? I've done it before and ended up feeling used for drinks.
That's why I want to find something long term, and that's what I need to focus on!

A girl with a BF (I teach her Maths) is meeting a female friend for food. She has also invited me. Should I go to improve my social skills?
I'm scheduled to teach both of them plus another Maths tomorrow, all 3 of them have BFs, but that's kind of irrelevant. I will be doing them a favour, and i'll maybe ask them to set me up with their friends (one of them definitely won't, we had a debate on feminism before).
Do you think it's a waste of time (and money, lettuce be cereal, i'm going to be picking up the bill) if I go today? Should I just keep it friendly but professional tomorrow in a proper setting rather than meeting two of them today in a casual setting for food, given they all have BFs?
I'm scheduled to teach both of them plus another Maths tomorrow, all 3 of them have BFs, but that's kind of irrelevant. I will be doing them a favour, and i'll maybe ask them to set me up with their friends (one of them definitely won't, we had a debate on feminism before).
