Doesn't sound too bad. Before I go on a date I expect stuff like this to happen every once in a while. Only part I never would have done is drive 80 miles for a date unless she's a 9/10 hbb with a good personality. Chalk it up as a loss and move on. Nothing you could have done different that would have gotten you better results in that situation.

If youre gonna drive 80 miles, get a damn hotel room. Put your platonic face on throughout the night and dont act thirsty, once shes into you tell her at the end of the night it's time for you to get headin back, she can join you for a nightcap at the hotel bar if she wants. If she says no, then sure, go for a last ditch goodbye kiss which hopefully turns into groping which hopefully turns into spontaneous sex. Showing up 80 miles away with no plan and going full thirst asap is a sad state of affairs. Just plan better next time, that's all.

80 miles is like a one hour drive. People drive farther than that to see football games or sit on a crowded beach and get sunburned. One hour isnt a big deal at all if youre expecting to have a nice evening and get laid.
