Hindsight is 20/20... I assumed a piss test since Ive never had hair one before. I DONT have any other hair for them to test besides my head. I did a hair test myself but used my leg hair as a worst case scenario. I read that every .5 inch of hair is about a month of detection, and right now the ONLY hair I have for them to test is my 1/4 inch head hair, so two weeks worth of detection

You were clean on April 20. Two weeks after that any hair that grows up the scalp is drug metabolite-free.

Ive been researching for days.. I did the Macujo method and bought some detox shampoo from local headshop but idk. I dont wanna bleach my hair or anything too drastic cause i dont wanna start balding prematurely. My issue is, If i had been working there for a few months, fine hair test me. But i was in college so that SHOULD matter. Also, hair tests are known to be way worst for black people (coarse dark hair). Its a transportation company but Im not a truck driver so WTF...

My major was Supply Chain Management btw

honestly, the only way to pass one of these is to be clean.. if you dont have enough hair, they can either call it an automatic fail, or ask you to come back.. Most of the time they'll attempt to take whatever hair they can (everywhere except the pubic areas are fair game).

I oversaw a lot of our drug testing program for a couple of years, so I've seen multiple of these test fail even after trying everything you can imagine online..

i can attempt to answer any questions you may have

also, those home testing kits arent the same as what most labs use.. the cutoff is usually higher, plus they dont use the same methods

do you know where they send your tests off to?

Nah not all.. Im just like my dad , he has BARE arms and legs.. I have very little hair everywhere-- no chest or back, little arm/leg (1/8 in), can barely grow facial hair at 24. I obviously shaved my pubes and that area already.. I also trimmed my armpits to pretty low so they cant use that (i have an excuse).

I used the Hair confirm kit, so they sent it to a legit lab (Omega in Ohio). I should have results by Tuesday but I used leg hair as a worst case type thing. I THINK they use Quest diagnostics but im not 100%

Nothing you can do but wait another 6 weeks fella. Even then it depends how long you've been smoking. It won't be 3 months if you've been smoking for a while, probably longer. Basically you goofd and should have stopped long ago if you were graduating. Now you'll be forced to take time off until you get clean unless you want that drug test on your record (if failed).

Had a hair test once. Hair on head wasn't long enough, so they shaved the hair off my legs. It picked up some prescription narcotics from over 5 months prior. You dun goofed op.

Marijuana is cleared from the blood stream in 12-24 hours. The drug metabolites are deposited into the hair by the blood. OP has been clean for 6 weeks, so there is no way for "new" traces of the drug to be deposited into his hair.

Just curious OP how much is this job paying you? There are many other good companies that don't hair test (I think it's fcking bullchit honestly) that pay very well.

in 10 years it's going to be legal in more than half the states, probably federally as well.

It's definitely better for your body than alcohol, and that's just a scientific fact. ESPECIALLY if you're bodybuilding or trying to gain muscle.

All jokes aside, it's not about fairness. You think an employer that does a fkin hair test gives a fk if you were just in college? They have rigid metrics, possibly for good reason but possibly for no good reason.

I'd just bow out personally. All the methods you've described are mostly untested and rarely work for hair follicle testing. If it were a urine test the story would be different.

Well I'd say take the test to see if you will pass but in the meantime look for other jobs also. I don't know what you do but it's pretty easy to find another job if you are in demand in your field.

Obviously I didn't know it would be a hair test. I only stopped 6 weeks ago because I assumed it was urine like every other job Ive had.

This hasn't been something I've had to worry about for a long time now since I don't do drugs anymore so maybe things are different now I don't know, but back when this was my life, hair tests were the most serious, the hardest to cheat, and detected use going back the longest amount of time lol
