To do a professional paint job you need to disassemble the car to get under the weatherstripping, etc. Its time consuming and labor intense.
The bodywork is also the most labor intense. Any imperfections in the body work will be revealed easily when you lay the paint down.
I hesitated at first to give this perspective but F it.........in the exotic world, to fit just a front bumper on correctly to factory standard and lay a triple pearl paint to match would cost anywhere from $3-5k....JUST FOR THE FRONT BUMPER.

If it is seen mostly as condescending then I will refrain from using when i am addressing people I dont know.

MOST importantly you dont want them cutting into your clearcoat or paint when trimming the vinyl.
I really think its fun but would honestly spend the $4k on a brake upgrade as that will stay with the car for longer and is more "functional"

The one good thing I want to keep is my caliper size (small around 320MM max) as I need to be able to toss on my stocks for when we head up for snow and the winter vacations.
With bigger brakes I can't use my stock wheels and run my chains and I cant fit chains on my wheels I run now as I only have 6 MM between rubber and a steel plate on the shocks up front.

I hear you on the wrap as well. Ive seen a ton of very bad jobs. Cheapens the car. This guy did a pretty good job. NOT PERFECT but I didnt expect perfect for $2200. It doesnt however look like those crap jobs you and I both probably have seen which turned me off from wraps for awhile as well. All about finding the right installer that wont rob you because he is good. Typically these people are car guys that are passionate about their own vehicles as well.

bro, idk if thats you in the pic, but if you have that car, thats bitches guaranteed man they will be following u all the way to the red light.
goddamn bro, car wrapping is amazing bruh, just a question tho : is there a restriction to what you can do with the car, as in do you have to take extra precaution measures if you have to do mechanical work on it ?
Bro black cars are nice but the white/black contrast you did here is just perfect, that'll make the sloots drip on sight

prep work is an outrageous amount of hours, and the quality of prep is what makes the finished product look good. most cars there's probably $1k in paint/clear/consumables for a quality brand but the money's in the prep hours. lot of technique in actually laying the paint down too, it's not something you can just bang out first try

have no problem by the usage of "kid" as in you're 12 years older than me. I took it as a playfull buddy talk. strong reaction ^^ woke up on the bad side of the bed today? lol
Had a buddy of mine who did same thing as you, but he tried it himself, was not an easy job, and we discovered that if you have dents and marks on the original paint, it becomes through well with the wrap. He eventually just gave it up lol. looked good on yours tho.

I used the storm trooper as my inspiration for the black/white balance.
I am always precaucious when working on my cars so there really are not extra precautions but I am inexperienced on "wrap maintenance" so I will report back as I have it longer.

Before I got married my brother and I lived in a house together. When we moved out (I got married) I rented the home to a real good buddy of mine for a few months as he was transitioning his family back from California. When he moved in the neighbors (who we never spoke to) came up to him and said "Thank god you guys are moving in. The last people that lived here were probably drug dealers. Parking their cars and boats in the driveway and never seemed to go to work"
We LOL'd as that person had no clue he was my buddy. HAH

Iv never been a big fan of matte/satin/flat colors but it doesnt look bad at all, change is always nice. Im getting my body kit prepped and soon to have avery dennison pearl white gloss going from boring ass silver.
$2200k for a wrap is far better then $7-10k for a good pearl white paint job. I got the quote from Altanta Custom Wraps, theyve got a great "protection plan" and warranty for accidents that may occur. Also, their instagram speaks for itself.

Thats exactly why I chose this car over the S class. Drove them both back to back and I really wanted to like the S class but really preferred the driving experiencing with the 7 more.
Will try the Panamera next possibly

I would never do a 'complete' just not worth it. Too much can go wrong. I painted a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I want to get back into it.
