I remember like pulling an all nighter with a friend n like 1995. We lied to his parents when they woke up in the morning saying we just woke up early and started playing....we didnt sleep at all and felt like death by noon.

Some friends and I in high school did an all nighter with Streets of Rage 2 and when I made it to the boss level one of the guys smacked the Sega and froze the game up on me. I was less than thrilled.

I'm glad that games don't freeze up so easily anymore.

That seriously just made me lol at work. I am 28 yrs old now but knowing myself back then I would have flipped chit over that lol.

I don't play video games anymore except for Sega Genesis nowadays. I started buying chit tons of games because you can get them for really cheap still. I nostalgia hard playing it everytime. It's also a lot harder to play after playing all these new age systems because the Sega controls are so basic.

I'm with you on that. A fraternity brother/best friend and I bought the Sega Ultimate Collection for X-Box 360 senior year and had a blast with it. My Sega Genesis was absorbed in the black hole of my chapter house, real bummer.

Isn't it interesting to see what 3-5 years does to make a difference in what games someone likes? Tons of cool posts in this thread from people mentioned NES, SNES and Genesis as their favorites, saw someone with Atari listed (played a little of that, too!) to people mentioning PS2 and later.

Yeah, definitely....I got an Atari with a chit ton of games last year. I participated in 100 mile long rummage/garage sale event. I was in a tiny town of about 250 people and got it all for 5 dollars lol. I haven't played it yet but I will soon.
