yeah it was a wild mouse but very small

I was trying to save it from a cat. I absolutely love cats, but yeah, I didn't want it to kill this mouse.

Go to the ER ASAP.

It’s unusual for rabies to show symptoms so quickly. But once symptoms do show... you’re down to hours to do something about it. And even then chances are slim.

Literally can count the people who survived rabies in the US who didn’t get the first dose of vaccine and immunoglobulin before symptoms (the ones in your post) on one hand.

If you’re trolling: hope you spent some time reading up on rabies, very interesting and good to know.

Hantavirus is extremely rare; but has a 40-60% fatality rate. Not only that, once flu-like symptoms appear, you usually start to experience difficulties breathing within 4-10 days. Your lungs literally fill with fluid and if you’re lucky enough to survive, you’ll end up in the ICU for about a month. Don’t risk it, go to ER!!!

Jesus. It really does sound like he might have Hantavirus. I thought you only got it from rodent excrement, but google says saliva too.

Edit: Symptoms usually take a lot longer to show, but still scary AF

Without treatment, rat bite fever can lead to severe complications, including pneumonia, meningitis, infection of the heart (myocarditis, endocarditis) and infection of the blood (sepsis), leading to death.

Dumbass this is what happens when you interfere with nature and the natural order of things. Cat coulda had its dinner and your immune system wouldn't currently be in shambles. Go to the ER bruh you sound like you're turning into a zombie.
