This is probably the simplest and safest for you OP. Granted with your score taking a big hit, your interest rate won't be super low but it'll definitely be lower than it is now for all that debt.

if youre in canada, switch to TD Emerald ASAP. It's far lower interest rate than whatever you have right now, but has a $25 annual fee.

you're young so it's whatever. people give youngsters more chances, get that resume back up in good standing, lie a little bit, and you're good. mock interviews all day. write down question, answers, etc.

good luck,,,

edit; can't count how many times iv'e been let go like that, so many fuking times, with warrants out for my arrest for debt worth thousands.

1) Get a bank loan, pay off all the debts, then pay the single loan back at an affordable rate over a long period.
2) Take some responsibility for your life.

edit:

I see some wizards posted this above.

Get the cheapest phone you can. That's the least important thing for you right now.

If you are working at a restaurant, which it sounds like, eat as many meals there as possible to save money.

Pay your monthly payments on time and start to save up. Don't try to pay one thing off completely then leave yourself broke. Just take it month by month for now. If you are passed due on your bills and have collections calling you, ask to set up a payment arrangement. All companies will do this because they want to get paid.

It might take you longer than 4 months, but don't get discouraged. Work as much OT as possible and keep saving until you're back on your feet.

You fuked up...

You are going to take it in the a$$ one way or the other.

There is no way out of it and you should be punished a bit for it...you are the one that fuked up.

Go get a $35 dollar a month phone from Boost or Virgin or some **** like that, Start paying off the credit cards minimum to one, as mush as possible to the other with the higher interest rate and then when that one is paid off swing every penny over to the remaining balance.

And don't do that chit again with friends.

For your phone bill. Hopefully you canceled that shyt. Get a prepaid phone card and do pay as you go. Cut up credit cards so you can't use them. Call into your phone provider explain that you lost your job and that your friend left you with the bill. Say you are willing to pay the minimum of whats left owing. say you can only afford like $50 every two weeks or something and that you will make payments in installments. Otherwise if you leave it and not pay they will send that shyt to collections and your credit will be fuked.

1. Opie, try to find a good job around town that you'd find yourself being able to spend a long number of hours at and has good wages (if it were me in your situation, I'd apply to work at Buccees - they legit have good wages - srs, I saw a sign out front listing everything and all - and everyone looks fkn happy in there. Plus their coffee is some good stuff).

2. If you know any family/family friends/friends - ask them if they know of any good job opportunities. Do so in a professional, respectable way so that they get the sense of the gravity of your situation. I've found when I do such in problem points in the past - some of them contact me soon down the line if they don't have an initial answer for me.

3. Now, I know this is a long shot but has paid off substantially for two of my friends.
A) Do you have a BSc or any sort of degree (I'm not sure if it necessarily matters though)?
B) Are there any chemical plants/refineries around where you live?
A girl I know (with a BA in marine biology) was able to apply for an on-site plant job and gets paid ridiculously well (like >20-30 dollars/hr). I think she works at Marathon oil. Really, all I think she did was email someone asking if they had any open positions that she could pursue - she didn't have any initial contacts there from what I can remember.

Wish you all the best. From what you've said, I get the sense it wasn't of your doing - more so that you just got the brunt end of the stick with your friend bailing on you. And tickets? Psh, we all get them.

Opie, please reconsider taking out any loans unless you have a plant to pay them back.

Edit: you're from Canada? I'm not sure if Fort McMurray is still hiring, but I've known some people several years back (friends of mine from when I lived in Ontario) who didn't really have any life direction and they went, applied and got hired.
Although with the changes in the oil industry, it might be a bit harder to get a job there :/.

11.30 x 40 hours = 452 - ( taxes 150?) = 302
10 -14 tips = 400

month x4

= 2808

- ( expenses gas, food etc) 300

around 2500

I have a big question what to do about phone bill its at 2083.48 ? my plan is to focus on the small CC pay it off it two weeks. But what to do I do about the phone bill. It would be dumb putting it on my CC after I pay it off? can I just send 1 dollar every month so I don't go to collections? so i don't have to put it on my cc to gather interest. phone bill is cancelled already. Will get a 40/month phone soon

Any misc phone bill experts

Do I just send a dollar every month and pay cc? It would not make sense putting phone bill on cc to gather interest .
