Let's see here.. my dad owns a restaurant, one night 2 guys came in for some food. They ordered Cevapi (traditional dish in the balkans). We were talking a bit and they asked where we were from, we said Serbia. The conversation pretty much stopped there, they paid their bill and left.

The next morning we went to do prep for the business at 7am. The front window was smashed with a bunch of bricks at the front. Thought wtf is this chit?

Luckily we have video surveillance, and one friend who works for the police. Identified the 2 guys that smashed our window.
Turns out they lived in the street right behind where the restaurant is.
We asked the neighbors about who they were, where they were from etc. - lady said they were Albanian.
One of the dudes names was "Ardit"(strong name) . Don't know the other guy's name. So Ardit, if you ever read this, fuk you, you cuck.

Anyway.. yeah.. Albanians got some nerve.

I only know one and she's perfectly nice and kind and honest, speaks 4 languages and has a degree. I get the impression from her and elsewhere that that is not typical of Albanians though. But honestly if I drew a 1 mile radius around my house, there's more human garbage in there than anything else. People are pretty much the same everywhere. Opportunities vary (join organised crime vs. get on welfare), but people are the same.

Modern Germany is more friendly, just look at how the customer service has changed. When I was a kid the people serving food for example, were not very talkative or didn't pretend to be happy and just had a very cold expression and avoided small talk. Now you often see them smiling and engaging in conversations with customers. The whole attitude is steadily improving every year, I can remember that where I grew up (Achternmeer) since it was about as small as a town as it gets for Germany (we had back then 1 corner market store, for example) people were not welcoming towards new people, especially immigrants, and there was A LOT of open violence, yelling, insults, etc.. I just remember that as a kid I'd know that everyday in school I'd probably either get into an argument, be picked on or pushed around by older kids, get into a fight with Germans or Turks or whatever else, and I remember that everyone seemed to have a chip on their shoulder. But this was in what would be considered a 'redneck' part of Germany (if there is such a thing) I just remember it being a scary, dark place. But like I said, it has improved vastly everywhere, it's quite strange how fast this shift happened and how it is getting better every year. People are becoming more open, less angry, less confrontational, etc... but now with the recent surge of immigration attacks many people are also reverting back to more hostile attitudes towards foreigners. It's always been somewhat of a struggle in Germany when it comes to being compassionate and empathetic towards others (especially foreigners)
