OP is right, the biggest thing is that you're wasting your time on something that doesn't give you skills.... Brb spending hours lifting weights up and down when you could sign up at your local boxing or jiu jitsu gym and actually learn something and challenge your body and mind..

Lifting harcore for "bodybuilding" and powerlifting is lame. your not going to look like the guys in the ads unless your taking illegal substances.
It's a great compliment to real sports training, if you live that life.
if your just a regular natty guy, you can look better than most gym rats just by being lean, eating healthy(no IIFYM ****), basic bodyweight stuff, and light cardio. people over complicate this stuff thanks to false advertising and promises that their going to look like Arnold or some other dude on gear.

OP is right.....And wrong. For all of us average schumks who may be FA or have had just a few girlfriends/lays, we may not have started lifting for the sole purpose of female attention, but it was in the back of our minds.
Then you start lifting for a while, realize that girls don't just start crawling to you because you lift. But.. you feel more healthy, you have a stress reliever, you have a fun hobby, and before you know it, you actually learn to love to lift. Then you truly lift for yourself, not anyone else. Yeah I may never be a guy that walks into a room and has girls turning their heads, but I also won't be a fat phuck that repulses people and has women running. I'm going to be the best version of me, and my best version may not be what I want, but at the end of the day you learn to live with who you are and you are much happier when you finally accept yourself.
Even the most ugly FAs can improve their odds by simply losing body fat, dressing nice, and having a nice haircut. As long as they aren't shooting for 9/10 instagram attention sloots. My friend who is much better looking than me and more successful with women says those 9/10s arent even all its cracked up to be. Too much pressure and maintence, he has now settled with a flat chested 6/10 with a nice ass and personality and is happier than ever at least for the past year.

Lifting helps in so many, many ways.
I could go into detail, but Id rather continue to live my life.
