You'll be fine, Ireland is s member state, with the same currency.
If you carry out a 'hazardous' occupation you will have to fill out forms a lot more complicated than a visa application.
That's my point.

I think Britain will vote to leave. Brexiters are passionate about becoming independent and taking back their country, and will therefore be more likely to turn up and vote.
Remainers are pussies by their very nature. Even the thought of having to encounter alpha Brexiters at the polling stations will be enough to make them stay home.

It wasn't anything formal and more of a discussion really, but at least the higher ups said a lot of jobs will go if we do leave the EU. There is a reason why London is the financial hub in the EU, and it brings a lot of jobs, and not necessarily all IB jobs. I won't pretend as if I'm an expert on that though, so this is simply what I've heard from first hand experience. In defence of Southerners, I think his opinion is about as ignorant and short-sighted as it gets and I also happen to know some very "educated people" (whatever that means) who are voting to leave. He'd rather let investment banks scare him into submission than make the decision to regain the UK's sovereignty.
Also, voting out doesn't really have "unknown effects". The economy will almost definitely suffer a temporary shock, mainly due to our fantastically corrupt system, but if we don't let that happen then we're just accepting that the system is corrupt and essentially laying down and rotting. One of the many positive effects it will have is that it'll force the British government to be held accountable for decisions of national importance instead of delegating those decisions to a group of corrupt, unelected technocrats who have no knowledge of the nations they rule over and allow no form of popular participation.
Voting to leave is literally the closest thing to a revolution we'll ever see. Of course jobs will be lost and there will be an initial struggle, but the alternative is to continue to depend on a corrupt entity that cares very little about individual nations and instead aims to centralise power in such a way that the populations of those individual nations will be completely cut out of the political process. In other words, voting to remain is voting for a dictatorship.

The idea to regain "UK's sovereignty" is one which I think is stupid. I love Britain and wish for it to prosper, but I don't think that it can do it alone, and we will lose a lot of trade deals if we leave the EU and British people will be the ones who will suffer. It's so easy right now to set up a business with the EU, and all those small business will suffer if we leave. I just think people have the idea engrained that Britain is the greatest country in the world (which I think it is) and that we don't need anyone else to prosper (which we do). The EU isn't perfect, there is corruption, but just lol if you think we'll be corruption free if we leave the EU - things will be worse, a lot worse in the short term, perhaps better in the long term but I doubt it. You're entitled to your opinion so thanks for responding with an argument, rather than those who just negged me with "cuck", which was funny.
This forum at the end of the day is very right winged (I can't even believe people take trump seriously..) so I'm arguing against many but please do some research, and form your own opinion then vote rather than just voting because you want to make Britain "great again".

Nobody with such poor writing skills would be able to obtain an internship with an investment bank.

The U.S. was once a confederation. Is it a bad thing now that it's not anymore. This is just fear mongering from the right.

Your stupidity clearly knows no bounds. Are you telling me that banks only have offices in countries belonging to the European union?
Those Goldman Sachs offices in New York must be fake.

However you let the cat out of the bag with the admission you interned with an IB..
I agree that the British sovereignty argument is pathetic.
Britain is insignificant now, we are no longer a world player.
But we are the 5th largest economy and by far the most dominant military power in Western Europe, so financially and militarily we are safe.
If you're smart enough to be an investment banking professional, you're smart enough to do the simple math.
We put in to the EU far far more than we get out of it.
Propping up failed states like Greece and not being allowed to deport terrorists should also be factors you consider.
We import more than we export, nobody is going to cut trade and lose money out of spite.
Fuk o'leary and RyanAir too, it's as if that plastic kunt doesn't realise we know how much he benefits from Eurocuck open borders.
Just look at both sides of the argument.

Firstly, if you look at a number of non-EU nations that the UK (and EU) currently do business with, you'll find that they don't need to be part of a Union (federation) to engage in free trade. Even European countries like Norway and Switzerland. Before anyone says "herp derp, completely different, populations of a few million etc. etc." no, the principle is exactly the same. They negotiated trade deals with the EU without having to compromise an inch of their sovereignty. We do need others to prosper, but we should be free to choose who those "others" are and we should be free to engage in trade with anyone we deem capable of bringing an economic advantage to the UK.
Secondly, we're far too important to the EU for them to just shun us. The "divorce package" will undoubtedly include trade agreements that, while being slightly less advantageous, will still be workable for businesses. The economy will undergo a negative reaction, but history has taught us two things: situations like these recover with time and the centralisation of power has only ever led to the average person losing rights and their quality of life decreasing. The EU is a failed project and they need us to stay in to give it some sort of international validity, at the cost of our sovereignty (which is very important).
Finally, if this referendum had the potential to turn the UK into a 3rd world country, it would have never been allowed in the first place. Brb, no referendum for the legalisation of cannabis, yet for some reason they're allowing the British population to potentially fling this nation into what the "project fear" gang describes as a potential apocalypse. I don't think so Tim.
The truth is people resist change at all costs, even if it means upholding the corrupt and dictatorial status quo. They allow big businesses to influence policy-making, allow politicians to align with the interests of big business, all because they're afraid. They feel they have lost control of politics and the economy and need a "nanny" to threaten them into choosing what's "best".
Answer this: since when have big businesses cared about what's best for people? Or have they only ever thought about profits and bonuses?
Inb4 trickle-down fallacy.

As much as us Americans like to bicker with you brits about which country is better, I'm praying for you guys on June 23. Own your own country.
Japan has a similar size to you guys, is an island nation, has a high population, and they are more sovereign. After all, leaving the EU doesn't make trading illegal right?

Japan has a similar size to you guys, is an island nation, has a high population, and they are more sovereign. After all, leaving the EU doesn't make trading illegal right?

And lol at the people ITT saying it's the unintelligent people voting to leave. It's funny because this is only partly true; the most intelligent, and least intelligent I know are voting leave. The least intelligent just simply ramble on about immigrants; yet the most intelligent talk about sovereignty, failure to maintain close relationships to the commonwealth, the cultural destruction MASS immigration is having, our inability to reject certain criminals/unskilled workers, the fact we are a huge importer from the EU but don't export much too it, the fact that the EU model is destined to fail, the EU is pissing money away propping up Greece, the single currency is a failure, the EU is the only LARGE declining trade block, the aim of the EU is federal Europe which most do not want, etc etc.
All of the seriously intelligent people I know are voting to leave, srs.
