I agree with you man. I actually think it devalues most cars. Only one I'm considering it for is my 63 vert lincoln. When I decide to do a frame off resto the who,e thing will be painted since it will be already stripped down. But I'm gonna keep that car till I die and pass it down to my sons so I'm not worried about resale on that one.

Don't let the oversensitive girls on the forum bother you OP. There are always outliers in the group that find faults in any social interaction. You could have the nicest, most polite approach and some people will find it condescending.

Btw, that wrap looks great. It makes the car stand out, but not in a loud, in your face way.

I feel you man and appreciate the perspective. I dont take the feedback as "haterish" or anything like that. In retrospect I can see how a lot of my posts can come across as bragging. Any human likes to talk about their successes and I am not immune to that. I try to do it in context to the conversation for proofpoints and I try to do it in a way that hopefully inspires/encourages the next generation to go after their dreams and reap the rewards after all the hard work.

Depends on your comfort/skill level - When you apply the ceramic coating, you need to let it cure enough so it will adhere/protect the finish, but if you let it stay on and cure for too long it will permanently streak the finish. Depending on the coating, temperature, and humidity, wipe off can be anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. However, knowing that, you should be fine. I would recommend CQuartz UK, and wipe off after around 30-45 seconds, if it's very hot (75 plus), wipe on and then wipe off.

Thanks for the heads up. Looking on amazon now to purchase. If it works well for this car I'll use it on my weekend toys too!
So if I live in a hot and humid environment am I better off with the CQuartz (Non UK) kind?

Really? I never had a front plate when I lived in Texas. I think I was ticketed once after getting pulled over for speeding. I was never hassled for it on it's own. I think the enforcement varies wildly city to city.

Looks so much cleaner without it. I don't run a front plate here in CO either. It's never been mentioned even when getting pulled over for speeding.

Yeah I feel you, all my non daily cars are lowered with the applicable methods per the type of car
old school - accuair
sports car - coil overs

I hesitate to lower this as its my daily and dont want to compromise the ride comfort and where I can and cannot go due to the ride height. I do agree it would look 100x better without the gap.

Yeah it's technically illegal in TX to not run a front plate. People do it and get away with it but if a cop is looking for a quick reason to pull you over he's got one.

Truth. Knock on wood I havent been hassled yet. I have friends that straight up dont have plates on their exotics (they have paper plates with just the dealer logo on them) and dont get hassled. Its crazy.
