There are two things wrong with this statement:

1. Not everyone here says what they "truly think". Obesity is disgusting but a hard battle to overcome. No they cant just put down the fork, its the same as telling someone whos depressed to just cheer up.

Who would want to be fat? especially in this day and age when appearance matters so much and fat people are one of the few groups of people you can still make fun of without ending up with the police knocking on your door {at least in the UK}....


{ironically people are getting fatter and fatter which suggests the societal obession with peoples weight is having the opposite effect}. It's all rather unhealthy really. Both the amount of fat people stumbling around and how people obsess over their own and other peoples weight.Whether that be obese and seriously overweight people demanding 'acceptance' ,or the media going nuts when a certain starlet puts on a few pounds...

Good guy op. Not sure what I would do in your situation but depending on how she is, try and help her slowly with training/nutrition. Who knows you could get a good friend out of it. (inb4 *******s say you cant be friends with girls. stfu). Obviously make sure you don't lead her on etc. but seems like a person that needs someone to reach out. Not everyone is strong.
