One of the two is, IIRC alimony is taxable/tax deductible while child support is not. It could be the other way around but I'm pretty sure this is the way it is in Canada.

In the US, not CS. That's taken out after taxes.

edit: alimony is deductible by the payer, taxable on the part of the payee.

W/E, **** him. I've always said you should get ZERO $ if you cheat on your spouse - it just so happens 90% of cases are sloots with no morals pulling this ****. If a man is going to pull this kind of female **** **** him.

At the very least this is an instance where he filed for divorce and had to know he was going to pay for such a move before choosing to do it anyway.
