Not guna lie, I was mad and immediately went into a denial phase which lasted about 6months where I was convinced I could look awesome with enough hard work.
Any other miscers here who used to be dilusional about gains and then had an "aw phuck bye" moment?

For those arguing that the "smaller" physiques are achievable natty, you guys need to realize that being enhanced is not just about size. Plenty of guys on tech aren't that big and not even at the natty limit in terms of size (especially since different kinds of gear do different things).
What tech can give you though is that3D effect while lean. It's what makes these smaller guys look so impressive. That's simply something you can't get as a natty. As a natty, you'll look much flatter while being that lean, especially without a strong pump and adobe skills.
As for the pics when these guys look less impressive, that's because they're not always on chit. They come off to try to get their system back to normal. Even some of the pros do that.

Luckily for me my only goal was to get buff, so I didn't get crushed by unrealistic expectations.
Hell, I was skinny as hell growing up. Don't think I could have pictured where I am now.

I've known for a long time that anything beyond say anearlySteve Reeves physique wouldn't be realistic. I was and I guess still am to a point still inspired by non-natty physiques though. Most importantly, I know that all I can do is work with what I have and make little improvements here and there.
Overall I still look mostly the same (give or take bulks and cuts) that I have looked for the last 20 years. For me that is kind of the goal at this point (still look how I did 20 years ago). Which is probably not impressive to many people who compare themselves to unnatural-unrealistic physiques. However, in real life it is impressive to have your same 23 year old body when you're really 43 (assuming you even lifted at 23).

And once again, it's not about the mass itself. No, he's not that big. It's the very fact that he's super lean and looks great that you can tell that he's not natty. A natty may be able to get that kind of mass, but he will not be able to have that kind of mass while that lean. As a natty, you WILL lose fullness and mass as you approach that level of leanness. Even a lot of the really small guys get on tech not to put on size, but in order to keep their fullness and to look hard on stage. Since it's that very fullness/hardness/3D effect that makes them look so good in the first place, no, you cannot say that it's achievable natty by anyone who is serious. Is there a small chance that he's natty? Maybe. But what is unlikely is something that should be outside consideration in this discussion since we're talking about what is achievable by most of us.

I'm giong to see if I can maintain the whole year and to be honest, it's VERY VERY easy for me if I just track macros and work out semi-regularly. I might even drop down lower and see if I can maintain 8% year round like Kane Sumabat AKA Timberwolf does although I suspect I will have to drop into the 190-195 lbs range for that. For those arguing that the "smaller" physiques are achievable natty, you guys need to realize that being enhanced is not just about size. Let's see where you've derived this 25 FFMI hard limit from because to me, it sounds like you're simply regurgitating information you've simply come across from other broscientists on this forum.
There's some very simple points in this article even you could probably understand, allow me to highlight a few:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/natu...dybuilding.htm
Data was taken from 84 users and 74 non-users first, then all the Mr. America winners from 1939-1959 were added to this analysis (Kouri et al., 1995). What was concluded was that an upper limit of 25 was set for nonusers (Kouri et al., 1995). However, it should be noted that a few of the Mr. America's exceeded this value, while the highest FFMI value was 28, the average was ~25 (Kouri et al., 1995).
It was suggested that genetics and potential margin of error with true body fat percentage may have contributed to the values greater than 25 (Kouri et al., 1995). However, based on the data, it can be said that anyone with a FFMI over 25 is genetically-gifted and is at the cream of the crop in natural bodybuilding.

However, based on the data, it can be said that anyone with a FFMI over 25 is genetically-gifted and is at the cream of the crop in natural bodybuilding.
Similarly, a sample of 20 Mr. America winners from the presteroid era (1939-1959), for whom we estimated the normalized FFMI, had a mean FFMI of 25.4.
Lastly, it should be known that the max FFMI values are based on bodybuilders in contest condition (e.g. 3-5% body fat), and for overweight and fatter individuals, the formula loses validity (Kouri et al., 1995). This formula is based on being as ripped as possible and as big as possible at the same time.
Looking at top natural athletes from 55-75 years ago before the science of supplementation, exercise science, and other advancements came into play, their AVERAGE FFMI was 25.4 meaning there were more than enough individuals in the 26+ range. Now lifting is probably 10x more prevalent with a whole lot more widespread quality information and you're telling me that there won't ever be serious natural athletes/bodybuilders who are genetically gifted enough to break through this BS 25 FFMI limit?
