Lmao John McArdle, Ph.D is a vegetarian not a vegan completely different, omnivores just like carnivores have dagger pointy teeth while our teeth are flat they're teeth are pointy so they can rip the flesh off other animals if we tried ripping the flesh off animals we wouldn't be able to because our teeth are flat because we are HERBIVORES

Have you not been following this thread? I've been arguing against the idea that humans aren't omnivores.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T._Colin_Campbell

T. Colin Campbell (born, January 1, 1934) is an American biochemist who specializes in the effect of nutrition on long-term health. He is the Jacob Gould Schurman Professor Emeritus of Nutritional Biochemistry at Cornell University.[/b[

Campbell was one of the lead scientists of the China–Oxford–Cornell study on diet and disease, set up in 1983 by Cornell University, the University of Oxford, and the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine to explore the relationship between nutrition and cancer, heart, and metabolic diseases.
The study was described by The New York Times as "the Grand Prix of epidemiology"

Campbell joined MIT as a research associate, then worked for 10 years in the Virginia Tech Department of Biochemistry and Nutrition, before returning to Cornell in 1975 to join its Division of Nutritional Sciences. He has worked as a senior science adviser to the American Institute for Cancer Research,[4] and sits on the advisory board of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.[5] He is known in particular for research, derived in part from the China Project, that appears to link the consumption of animal protein with the development of cancer and heart disease.[6] He argues that casein, a protein found in milk from mammals, is "the most significant carcinogen we consume".[7] [broken link] The implications are: that animal-derived proteins can "turn on" cancer cells carcinogenesis at the cellular level [8] and that plant foods (including plant derived proteins) can "turn off" cancer cells, also at the cellular level.

Dr. Eselstyn, plant based diet advocate, gets an endorsement from an ex president for reversing his heart disease problems

The muscles i value most are the ones directly surrounding the spine, the hips, the scapula, the femur and the tibia... in that order.

Basically the whole body minus chest and biceps... pretty much the opposite of what your local gym looks like on a typical Monday.

I've been a vegan since December 29th. I'm glad I finally decided to do it. Haven't lost any gains whatsoever and it hasn't been hard. You don't need to eat meat in order to build a great body or eat good food.

You want people to get sick and die from eating meat so your cause is vindicated. You want to be right so badly that you're willing to wish harm onto other human beings so your life has some validity.
Nobody who truly cared about life in general would ever say something so evil. You're against factory farming but your dick gets hard when human beings get sick?

Yeah, buddy. You confirmed my theory. Seek help.

I'm not asserting that homo sapiens are either herbivorous or omnivorous. The question that needs to be raised is not "are humans omnivorous", butto what degree are humans omnivorous? Well, unlike carnivorous mammals, we dont possess long, pointed canine teeth designed for ripping and tearing flesh, which means our mouths are not designed for ripping and tearing flesh (obviously). Which probably means that eating large terrestrial mammals such as cows, pigs, and sheep is not natural to us. Like I pointed out before, our closest relatives are chimps and bonobos. They are a primarily frugivorous primate whose diet is supplemented with eggs, fish, invertebrates and small vertebrates such as squirrels. This is what their canine teeth look like:

You see those long, pointed canine teeth? They're a biological adaptation to ripping and tearing flesh, which are different from those of a herbivore whose teeth are designed for grinding and chewing:

Our canine teeth are far smaller and less prominent than our common ancestor, the chimpanzee. What does that tell you?

I'm not denying that humans may be omnivores. However, we dont posses the biological adaptations for catching or eating large mammals, nor consuming large quantities of flesh. But that doesn't mean that eggs, insects and other invertebrates, fish and small animals didn't make up part of our diet. Eggs dont fight back, and you can get them by finding a nest and picking them up. Which means it would've been feasible for us to eat them.
I'll take using tools and animals for hunting for 200, Alex. You realize that humans existed for a long time before we had commercial food right?

First of all, karma doesn't exist. The universe doesn't know or care about you.

Second of all, as I said many times I'm not in favour of animal cruelty. But that doesn't mean I wish death upon human beings who consume meat.
See the way I think and speak right now is without emotion, calm, collected.

What your vegan buddy up there did was reveal his true colours - he places animal life above human life. He wants to see people suffer because they've consumed animals. He thinks it's some type of cosmic justice. He is mentally ill.
When vegans exhibit these traits they are exposed for and dismissed as the mentally ill people that they are.

Vegans don't hate meat eaters they hate meat eaters who make jokes about it and make non-logical excuses instead of being honest, not everyone is aware of how their meat is prepared so vegans are understanding of that

Also, OP says all plants have complete proteins which is false. He also says that protein quality is better in plants than animal products which is wrong too.
Yes I know what omnivorous means.

Why does everyone assume veganism is all about eating grass and veggies? I am no biologist but i'm pretty sur cellulose mostly comes from grass/leaves

No vegan ever preaches you to go out start chewing on grass. The ideal diet for optimal health for human beings is a fruitarian/high carb diet although I don't follow that 100%. I only follow the advice of nutrition experts like Campbell, mcdougal and eselstyn, not some charlatan like Dr. Atkins, keteo/paleo nonsense.

Like I said humans can survive off vodka and skittles for years, doesnt mean it's the right, and healthy natural choice. Do whatever floats you boat though. If ingesting corpse flesh in rigor mortis is your thing go for it. Just don't fool yourself into thinking your diet is manlier than a vegan diet just because you pay someone else to slaughter and butcher animals for you.

The only thing I've learned from this thread is that BuralBrah probably wasn't hugged enough as a child. You can't just leave your superiority complex in what you shove down your face hole and now are attacking other miscers on their art? Dude. Come on.

Here is the problem with vegans.

The only reason people are vegan today is the easy access to vegan foods, they can literally walk down the street get a bunch of vegan products imported from different countries and make a meal. There is absolutely no way someone could have done that 100+ years ago.

Billions of people live in locations that can't support the vegan diet without heavily imported goods. Here are some reasons:
- Climate, not all climate can grow vegan friendly food. Someone living in Ontario, Canada where we only get farming friendly weather 4-5 months a year would not have survived 100 years ago.
- Soil, not all soil is created equal. It is only recently that we had to genetically modify the soil to grow in order to grow crops in certain places.
- Animals/Pests/Insects; without pesticides (100+ years) we couldn't yield the large amount of crops we are yielding today.

I would honestly love to see a vegan try to convince a farmer or a fisherman in a 3rd world or developing country about going vegan because "humans aren't meant to eat meat".

At the end of the day vegans are actually anti factory farming/industrialization not anti meat eating.
