I would break up with her, but to each his own.

The sad part is, she's not alone. A ton of dumb children across the country are doing this every day and they all just think it'll work itself out. Eventually, it'll reach a critical mass and they'll have the numbers to unite together to elect a guy like Bernie Sanders to save them.

Man I really haven't been grateful enough to my dad for saving up a college fund for me all my life. Graduated with no student debt.

Every time I hear someone having 30-70k to pay off I cringe hard and thank god it's not me.

Gotta thank him big time.

Some company clearly basically illegally gave her a card. No way she would pass the Debt-to Income ratio that is a part of the 2010 Credit Card Act. The DTI was only at 55% the last time I worked in credit card underwriting. It may be different now.

Op, dude, do not marry this broad or open any kind of account or cosign ANYTHING along with her. Be extremely careful with birth control as well too. She can discharge all but the student loans, but why 70k and only making 50k? that doesn't make any real sense to me especially at her age. Anyhow, if you plan on staying with this broad you need to get her a financial advisor, which i know she will never agree to, but man i cant imagine having that amount of debt only pulling in 50k. why a fuarking 20k car, dude that is ok, but still she has basically another vehicle in CC debt alone, and i would bet that she has pretty much nothing to show for for having 19k in debt.

Go find some poor ass broad that barely speaks english and you need to communicate through flash cards. keep her under your thumb with the financials, it sounds like the one you have now is wholly irresponsible as an adult.

Godspeed sir.

that debt is truly terrifying, and if you have a fully functioning healthy body where blood is pump through your neck and into your brain you'll be doing a 360 out of there and fast.

I pretty much have no respect for people for people with 0 financial awareness and get into messes such as this. 19k CC debt is just laughable, wtf was she thinking.

Still for those who make money and credit work FOR them and not AGAINST like me via reward cards, people like her are a godsend.

not too sure why everyone is ragging on her $50k salary when the average income is way lower, some of you miscers live in an absolute dreamworld.

I wouldn't say they are ambitionless. more or less they haven't figured out how to move up because they are still stuck in the rat race, limited opportunity for upward growth or don't know how to sell themselves. most people cant think big picture and quantify what they do and the impact.

Lol holy fuk I hope this thread is a joke.

If not, run for the hills asap op srs. Especially if you care about your financial future.

I was falling for a 23 year old sloot a while back until I found out she had filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy about half a year before we met.

I "noped" the fuk out of there. A woman like that is especially dangerous if you're a financially responsible person who has no debt and knows how to save and spend money responsibly.

Yeah it is pretty poverty brah. Could you even live and save money in London on that?

That's basically 40k after taxes here and you can't really live well on 40k in Toronto.

Holy chit man. 19K? I felt depressed when my credit limit dropped 2k because I have an interest debt of 0.13 for a few month because I was new to credit cards and never realised it got added and it needed paying. Finally working my way back up and got an increase on it, which the bank did without me asking for. But if I had 19k I'd just off myself. It's hard enough saving for a house when I'm choosing to save, but being forced to save to repay, fuk that chit.

Any why, when you have 70k debt, would you opt for another loan for a 20k car? What's wrong with a cheap(ish) car that she could pay with in cash?

Bet she also has the latest iPhone and getting bummed on that too, huh? And cable, netflix, spotify. Am I right?

these! kids and houses just suck up your money and its never ending.

kids: food, clothes, chit to make them happy, their future....it just never ends. then the dental/braces expenses and more clothes because they out grow them...it just keeps adding up

house: tax shelter but maintenance and upkeep. average mortgage is 30 years....

bottom line: having kids and a house is more of a liability. you wont be able to afford either with a gf/wife with almost 100k in debt

This is why I avoid debt like the plague. Car in cash, no student loans, and pay off credit card each week.

Seen too may people who's lives become juggling debt.

What an absolutely retarded sloot. Why in the hell would you buy an expensive car with that much debt/ that low of a salary? Why is she 19k in credit card debt? If she or an immmediate family member doesn't have a medical issue that is racking up the bill, she is an absolute idiot. She needs to strip away everything, trade in her car for a much cheaper one, move to a mucher cheaper location or with her parents and start living very, very frugally.

If you marry her she is going to drown you in debt, especially if she still hasn't changed her habits.
