I was thinking yesterday, this makes me happy. I hate dealing with people when I go buy food/gas etc, I just wanna buy my chit and leave. Not because I'm socially inept but because I just get annoyed by 5 questions
"Is that all today".....no man actually, I'm gonna go back and look around some more
"Do you want xyz for an extra $1"...no I just want what I came here to buy
"Want to donate $1 for hungry miscers?"....no thanks, yes I'm a horrible person
"Want a receipt?"......
"Nice weather we're having isn't it?"
Ok finally I was able to purchase my phucking flesh light

for now, it'll just be self ordering kiosks. they can cut down the number of employees by upwards of 5+ if everyone is using machines to place their order.
food runners and food makers will be able to get a raise, due to the decreased number of people taking peoples orders and it'll make the MCD experience better, more accurate, and faster.

They'll most likely put the salt in let's say bin 2 and if the customer hits the button for no salt it creates a condition in the robot to not go to bin 2 for instance. Pretty easy.
I don't know how McDonalds works and how they salt them but they could make it work regardless of the circumstances.
There would have to be a tech or two though looking after the robots and chit.

Medicine will not be fully automated, because that is simply impossible. hehe
I fully welcome automation. When they placed those coffee kiosks in Costco, Windco, and malls hnggg. Time for McDonalds to move in the correct direction.

there isn't a single bin for fries with salt, and fries with no salt. people rarely get it without salt, but it happens. they make a fresh batch when people order it with no salt. if you had one with no salt it would just sit and go bad. its not efficient to have machines do tasks like that.
it isn't that easy and they'll always be a need for employees no matter what. it already costs 2 million dollars, and making machines operate everything will only cost upwards of another million dollars more, which extends their ROI by maybe a decade. at that point, it's not even a good investment to own a franchise.
automation will come with food ordering kiosks, and allowing food makers to prep food faster. that's about as far as it gets with fast food industry.

Anyone who is against automation for fear of job losses is completely retarded. Humans always make advancements, we cut out the unnecessary labor and make our entire ecosystem more efficient and productive. As a result, the entire society is wealthier and has a higher quality of life.
Just lol at people against automation of jobs; literally only thinking about short term negatives with zero foresight - but I guess that's all you can expect from low IQ populations.

If that logic was followed, we'd still be using horses and carts, have scribes instead of printers, more postmen instead of email, people washing for hours instead of washing machines.

If they pay burger flippers $15/hr, follow the dollar. McDonalds fronts the cost, but the customer ultimately pays the price. The increase in wages will not hit McDonalds bottom line.
So who here is going to pay $5 for a Big Mac, or $10 for a value meal?
