Life in prison still for stalking with intent


+4As of January 30, 2026, a federal judge ruled that Luigi Mangione will not face the death penalty for the December 2024 killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, as federal murder charges were dismissed. However, Mangione still faces charges for federal stalking resulting in death, which carry a potential sentence of life in prison without parole.
