Whats holding you back from having solar energy?

China keeps droping tbe prices on solar and energy tech month by month. 90% price reduction in 10 years.

Do you have solar panels and batteries in your home? If you dont whats stopping you? Still the price? Bureocracy?

Now it is possible to be energy sel reliant for a decent price (being able to generate your own energy = freedomaxxing )

The chinese have vertical double solar panels that can be placed like a "sail" those can work it chalenging areas like places with trees of course one should never cut mature trees for solar panels there are ways to coexist

Just googled and I'm seeing a bunch on ships like actual sails, do they actually make them for homes? Either way they'd have to bee fookin tall as fuk to poke through the trees.

Absolutely pissening when morans move into a home, chop down the beautiful and mature trees and install solar. Brb literally destroying the environment to install solar, brb house now getting sweltering hot in the summer and need to use full blown AC constantly because no trees

Lol, there was a brief time a couple years ago when the NIMBYs in my city tried to pass an ordinance limiting development of neighboring parcels if it blocks sun access to your solar panels. Definitely one of the more absurd attempts at implementing their goal of having nothing built anywhere.

It's not really worth it here. Power is cheap, we don't have any outages, my home is well within town limits so a snow or some other weather event isn't gonna cut off my utilities. Back when I lived outside of town on 3 acres it would have made a lot of sense, but I sold that property, too much maintenance.

I wanna set up a couple of panels to power my UT infrastructure as a backup, but that's more of a want than something that I'll be able to make my money back from.

My father's hotel has a 30kw system though.

yeah, the powers that be do NOT want us to have unlimited energy.

They want us to be paying THEM perpetually, and don't want us in a Golden Age, and unlimited free energy is the LAST thing they want.

Which is why the conned the libs into hate nuke, as its the closest thing we have to cheap, safe, green unlimited energy. So they need to make nuclear the boogyman

Same boyo idk the specific types but I just love trees they just make the neighborhood look good and the shade is GOAT, it’s legit sweltering in houses without nice shade. And it’s become a trend for people to move into a house and just nuke all the trees from the property.

A couple moved in around the corner from us a year or so after we moved in, they seem like really nice people and their daughters my kids age which is nice but within a month they cut down the two beautiful, mature trees in their front yard and didn’t even put in solar, was fooking depressing to see.

To add to your point, Bill Gates was the ultimate green energy advocate right up until he needed cheap energy for his AI data centers to which he decided that he would buy three mile island nuclear plant.

The single nuclear energy plant in the US that was used to demonize nuclear and justify alternative green energy investment. Totally fine though once Bill needed to cash in.

Yup.

Its hilarious to watch the "elite" (aka child sex customers) spaz out for a decade or two about "muh green energy!"

and then completely do a 180 and pretend like they didn't, and now want to pollute and use up 100 TIMES more energy and water than we plebs could ever use.

Though they need these data centers to enslave us with their AI prisons...
