I was having a nice little morning here, enjoying a part of the Summer when my work has slowed down a bit. And all of a sudden, I received a call from a Boomer that I'm working on on a deal with screaming about why I haven't sent a Purchase Agreement from some Attorneys. I told these guys on Friday that the Developer had one more set of comments for their Attorneys, and it would be back on Friday/Monday.

There's no real deadline for this project, it's literally a deal that will take 18-24 months from now to complete. The idea that this Boomer needs to get everybody worked up so they can potentially speed the process up by 2-3 hours is just some obnoxious nonsense and just some insecure bullshit.

It all comes from the mentality that, "One person did something for me like this one time, so everybody in my life should treat me ecactly like this for the rest of my life". Shit takes time Boomer. You don't just get to snap your fingers and have everything appear in front of you.

I bet if he threatened the deal by snapping his fingers you'd actually do some cardio and appear in front of him.

Dealing with an old black boomer. We have so many repairs in progress and of course his is the only one that should get any attention. So basically, he calls multiple times a day and wants to talk about it and seems that he thinks we should do something to compensate him for the down time or he seems to think he can say something to change things. They love to argue and complain. Maybe it's just him being black, or maybe it's him being a boomer, perfect storm I guess.

Nah, it just doesn't work liket that. This deal has been the result of about 5 months of negotiation at this point, and he's in a group of 4 other owners that I put together. He's getting 175% of his properties value to move forward. Also, the developer is paying my fee on this, and the Boomers are getting away with not paying a commission, which doesn't usually happen on property sales.

These guys are getting way too good of a deal to ever consider walking away. Which is another reason it's absurd. It's probably why he's feeling a bit insecure that it didn't happen right away.

I reflect their bullshit right back on them man.

I have told boomers no one cares about their big feelings and “that’s a cool story but we all have shit to do”. Always trying to make poor customer service reps feel bad.

They are so used to everyone just taking their bullshit the words seem to hit extra hard with them.

I was obviously a lot more diplomatic than this, but basically how I responded. I told him I'd immediately give them a call, and I expect to have it back today. Which was the case all along.

One thing Boomers don't realize is that when they start making demands, anybody Milennial or younger immediately starts thinking they're difficult and makes then less likely to want to help them out. I've had deals that fell apart in the past when the Developer realized that they didn't want to spend 12 months dealing with some crusty Boomers and decided to back out, and now the Boomers can't sell for 60% of what we had negotiated.

At least Gen X was from a different era. I know plenty of people 60+ who aren't senile, so it's clearly not just this. Just a combination of entitlement and it's also likely a learned behavior.

I still cant get over the time i met this boomer couple at the panda express door and the door opens to my side so i shouldve been the one to hold it open but I just opened it and walked right in and swerved around them. I was real fkn aggressive/confident with it too cuz i alrdy saw em walking out beforehand and had my chest pumped up and timed it perfectly. Best of all, it was the karen in front and the boomer timmy at the back so i disrespected the karen which pisses her off and the timmy whos prob a simp wouldnt have cared much if it was to him but since it was to his wife right in front of her eyes it makes it even more cheeky. I had just hit legs so my test was flowin too and they could smell the threat. Pretty sure timmy had a meltdown in the car cuz they were still in the lot when I was coming out. Shiet was overall a 11/10 execution.
