As a misanthrope I actually like the world more now
Don't like it when people have unnecessary abundance
Driving unnecessarily big trucks and SUVs
Owning large homes including a vacation home
As much food as they want without caring about the cost including eating out all the time
Working 1 easy do-nothing job for 20-30 years and retiring with a big pension and full benefits for basically doing nothing of value
aka the classic boomer era
Things like that make people and society in general very entitled and arrogant
Kinda like it now with how expensive things are and how the world is changing overall to humble all that
Most people can't afford to own a home anymore
Lots need to work 2 jobs just to get by
Grocery prices high and keep increasing, including high costs of eating out
Data centers making utilities skyrocket and taking up lots of natural land
Things becoming more and more dystopian/authoritarian and the "muh rights" people getting told to shut up and there's nothing you can do about it
And so on
Like it when people are put in their place and realize the party's over and it will never go back to how it was before
Besides, as a forever single minimalist I have no stake or investment in the outcome
