I agree, but the only benefit of the gym is that it's predictable. You show up, hop on the treadmill and crank the incline to 14 and just start walking.

With a hike you gotta put sunscreen on, make sure to plan for weather, etc. It's obviously a GOAT option if you have hiking nearby where you're staying, but if you're driving 30 minutes to hike or anything, i'd often just rather go to the gym 5 minutes away and continue on with my day.

can put a DeWalt 20V MAX Portable Air Cooler, 32 qt. Rolling Jobsite Cooler with Digital Display in the yert.... gonna need a lil more oompf than the standard DeWalt jobsite fan
