You might already be dead

That car crash you just avoided

Or the one you got into that didn't seem like a big deal

The plane ride with real bad turbulence that landed safely

That sudden chest pain that eventually went away

The time you got lost hiking but found your way back onto the path

When you were severely depressed and almost went through with it

You died in that car crash

That plane didn't land safely

The chest pain was a heart attack

You never found your way out of being lost during that hike and perished

You went through with it

You just don't know it

Because your mind protected you from realizing your final moments of demise

This is what the afterlife is

You'll die again and won't know it then either

Over and over again

It's not Heaven or Hell

It's eternal existence through perpetual death and rebirth without the realization

The light at the end of the tunnel is the light in the room of your rebirth

You come out crying because you still remember and are mourning traces of the past life you left behind

Those memories gradually disappear as you grow older into your new life

When you randomly remember them but are unsure where those memories come from that's de ja vu

Damn.

It's perspective like this that takes me to a whole new level of smugness.

Smugness enlightened
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

this isnt a new concept to me. ive almost died so many times i already question my reality. i mean how would you ever know for sure? i could have died and then been put into another reality or delusion. maybet his is my life flashing before my eyes/death

i was walking in the woods last evening and saw a "X" on a massive stump. at first i had forgot but then remembered i almost died at that stump a few years ago. and i was so freaked out i took my chainsaw and marked the X in the stump because in my mind that was where i was suppose to die. it was that close
