"Suppose that a person's only connection to this country is that he was born here to a mother who was present just long enough to give birth and then quickly return to her native country.
Suppose that country is a strategic adversary or enemy of the United States. Suppose the child NEVER visited the United States while grow and was inculcated with hatred of this country.
According to this court, now, that person is a citizen of the United States. He can enter and leave the country as he pleases. He can travel the world on a United States passport.

Maybe there's something I'm missing, but it seems completely asinine that an amendment that was meant to ensure former slaves and their descendants had full citizenship went unregulated for all this time; Requiring at least one parent to be a citizen seems like a no-brainer

That said, a lot of our constitution hasn't adapted to technological changes. See the 2nd amendment with 30 round semi-auto weapons and the 4th amendment where the government can surveil you wherever you go and collect your DNA and put it in a database as long as you left it a public place (impossible to avoid).

in the Biden era, millions of illegals entered from all over the world. many of them took plane flights to mexico
many also were getting subsidized by george soros before they even cross the border then once they walk across the open hole in the fence where the boarder control is told they can do nothing to stop them from entering they are only allowed to great them and offer then some water, the boarder patrol are basically tour guys and walmart greeters for illegals, then they are given free phones and phamphlets to contact all the NGO agencies setup in liberal cities they are bussed to with people that will help them get put on welfare
then they drop a bunch of kids then its "but dont seperate ma familia, we all need to stay here on welfare now"
