Reminder: In the 40s/50s you could drop out of school in 8th grade and live a good life
Wild times.
My grandpaw did that.
Grew up in rural appalachia -- quit school in 8th grade to help more on the farm.
By 17-18 he was off to war...came back and started working for TVA.
By around 22-23 he was married to a rural farm area gal (grandmaw) and they moved to another city about 100 miles away with more cotton mills.
Took a cotton mill job and bought a new house in the mill village. The mills gave their workers a little discount or took the cost of the house out of their paychecks. Neighborhood and schools were all white BTW.
He always had a decent enough car...no hoopties
He and grandmaw had 4 kids they raised up in the original house he bought at 22-23. My dad was the paperboy a few years.
They all went to a at the time thriving baptist church less than 1/4 miles away from the house...gramps eventually become one of the sunday school teachers.

Yeah, my grandfather dropped out of school in the 3rd grade to help his family and went on to become a successful business owner. School has turned into an indoctrination channel to brainwash you not to question things and work for someone. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

Quitting school in 6th, 7th, 8th grade wasn't some rare thing back then but even that didn't stop people willing to work a job (even some common no particular skills job) from living out the american dream.
try that now and you'll be living in some woods behind an ihop....or best case scenario as a roommate in some tiny apartment surrounded by ethnics.

Appalachia is still 100% white.
You're here championing for the white man like a cuck, when the white man is the one who sent off all manufacturing overseas, ensuring that you can't have the same slack jawed easy life your grandpappi had.

You can still drop out of school in 10th grade and have a great life. I know people who did it.
-Drop out with parental consent at 16
-Get GED
-Immediately enroll in community college or a technical school
-Start working in a career 2-4 years before your peers
-Profit
In many cases, a determined kid will have a better outcome by doing this (srs).
I occasionally wish I did this because high school was a massive waste of time for me. I learned absolutely nothing academically. Socially, it was worthwhile, I'll admit. The best place to make friends and learn how to talk to girls is in public school, however overall I still feel very strongly that I could've achieved more success had I dropped out.
It's also a complete lie that a high school diploma is worth more than a GED. They're entirely equal in terms of the opportunities they open. School counselors routinely push this falsehood to students deemed "at risk" when letting them wander off on their own might actually be the best thing for them. I've been in the work force for 12 years now and never once has anyone asked for a copy of my diploma. It's a worthless piece of paper.

I didn’t finish high school and have a great life by most standards.
Played junior hockey
Worked in the oil patch for a few years
Met a girl, got married
Got in a union and got a trade
Bought a house, had kids
Started my own business
Might not be toiling in millions but make enough that my family is well taken care of, and has everything they need/want.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

mexicans with no special skills (which includes learned construction skill) are buying homes in white neighborhoods with white schools while raising 4+ kids and having a stay at home wife in their early 20s?

Of course if we do an apples to apples comparison, we'll find that your grandpappi didn't have it all that great. He lived in a tiny home with no amenities. Had a shit car that, and did activities that were free and not really worthwhile in his free time. This was the standard back then for blue collar workers.
Today, a union construction worker makes $100+ per hour when you factor benefits. A non union worker makes on average over six figures with overtime.
I think the point is that you want to complain. Which is fine, but everyone else is doing fine. What happened to your girlfriend? Did she get tired of having to go to work while you didn't? You think your grandpappi would have let your nana go to work while he stayed home?

i specifically stated white neighborhood/schools (also low crime) which is essentially what people clamor for now thus running up values in those areas.
the home he purchased was of average size and amenities for the time period (and constructed better with better materials than average modern homes).
the cars he always drove were average for the time period -- essentially equivalent to what the average midsize sedan/suv is today.
church activities including being a sunday school teacher, an active youth group for kids, kids involved in school activities, kids playing sports, quality family time, family meals around the table (wife was a great cook), extended family to visit with/cousins to play with a few blocks away. what about these activities do you find not really worthwhile for a man with 4 kids?
again, where in america are average people in their early 20s with no particular skill set and a 7th/8th grade education marrying a nice conservative young lady [to be a stay at home wife], having 4 kids, walking in off the street for a job in a factory/mill and buying homes in a white neighborhood with white schools?

You're also incorrect about the reality of what your grandfather lived. He didn't walk in off the street and become CEO. He had to learn and be promoted like everyone else.
Homes were not built better. They were built to a lower standard and as such required less maintenance. Kinda hard to fuck up a shack with a dirt floor.
The average car back then was a peasantmobile. Whereas a top of the line car had many of the amenities that cars have now.
The fact of the matter is, for anyone who wants it, there are more opportunities now than ever before. And there's no virtue in not having an education and not being able to read.
I wish we could just send you back in time for a year or two. So that you could learn first hand how great life was back then.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

So you're going off on a tangent. There are no mills anymore. That's like saying where are all the horse farriers because in your great grandfather's time anyone could just walk into a ferrier apprenticeship.
You're also incorrect about the reality of what your grandfather lived. He didn't walk in off the street and become CEO. He had to learn and be promoted like everyone else.

I never said my grandfather was CEO -- he walked in off the street in his early 20s, in a new city on the bottom at a mill with a 7th/8th grade education -- which afforded him the American dream.
I'm not sure if you are aware, but most students are able to read and write by 2nd/3rd grade. I do believe most white schools and good families were pretty diligent about making sure children had a firm grasp of the basics at a young age. I know in many predominately black areas it's not uncommon for high schoolers to be reading on a 3rd grade level (hence why part of the new american dream includes being in mostly white areas).
And for boys that had those basics back then -- many chose to forego all the other crap school had to offer because more adult tasks were at hand -- such as working on the family farm. Also, who could really blame them for it if they could be living the American dream by their early 20s without wasting time sitting at a desk? 🤔

Wonder what his life would have looked like if after he came home from the war, his town/area was 45% latino/indian/asian, etc??
A very different story would have been written, one involving the equivalent of meth, back then...

You have nailed the haskell persona down to a tee. So congrats on that.
