Just eclipsed $250k in earnings so far this year......

Although it doesn't feel like it, this year is turning out to be my best since before Covid. If everything goes as planned, next year should be even better.

Not 100% sure if I'll do another $250k in the 2nd half of the year, but it's possible.

Good luck to everyone's continued success!

Revenue or profit? Because when you're self employed you can't really call it earnings.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

It's gross revenue, but my actual expenses are only like $5000 per year. Obviously more than this for tax purposes, but my revenue is essentually all profit.

is it difficult to come up with a bullshit story everyday? I think if I tried sooner or later they would mesh into the same story.

Nice man. I can’t even imagine what it’s like to earn this much money. I honestly think after a certain threshold I’d just lose the motivation to keep working. Once you achieve financial freedom, it’s useless to keep hustling. You can buy practically anything you’d ever want or need, invest aggressively and never have to worry about missing a meal or losing your standard of living for the rest of your life.

In other words, if I had the potential to earn $500k over a 12 month period, I’d probably only work for 3 months out of the year.

After a certain point, money isn't the motivation. I just closed a deal yesterday with a $51,000 commission, and it was just a regular day. At this point, I want cool projects associated with my name, this is why I got into Real Estate Deveolopment.

This. It's less impressive when you're working for your father who owns like 30 million in real estate or whatever.

I'm not working for my father at all. These are all my own clients. He knows nothing about any of these deals I'm closing.

I will obviously inherit significant Real Estate holdings from my father, but I don't receive any assistance from him whatsoever at this point.

It’s also less impressive when he has zero knowledge of how markets, taxes or financial markets work, because it’s all imaginary.

Bingo

When self-employed, you want to profit as little as possible. Buy assets if needed. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

I was not born on 3rd base. My family was relatively broke growing up. Definitely a very humble childhood, and my parents still live a very simple life.

I didn't know you were working the trust fund gimmick into your character

You should have pushed it more years ago. It would work better if the forum had more than 12 users

So my family does have a business that I'm somewhat involved in overseeing. But that business is not how I earn my income.
