I'm still not sure why people would buy it. To me there are like zero advantages of it as a currency, or at least not many. If it's not a currency, what is it?

Crypto isn't that bad. Sports betting is the worst. I make 150K a year as a car salesman and I lost it all on sports betting.

How about just because YOU made a stupid decision and gambled more than you could afford to lose, doesn't mean something is "bad"

you're just dumb.

Plenty of others have made MILLIONS from it. You're just bad at trading.

Right now is the time to be buying crypto. Bitcoin is what, down 50-55%? I have my account auto purchasing every single week. When Bitcoin runs up to 100K again I'll quit buying and will start selling off again. Transfer my money into a stable coin and chill. When the price crashes again you resume buying, etc. Rinse and repeat.

The time to buy crypto is when its down 40-50%. The time to sell it is when its on a rocket to all time highs. If your wondering how to time it, its easy. Just watch forums. When dudes start saying crypto is a scam I lost money. You buy heavily. When people start talking about "Bitcoin just hit 100K, are you guys gonna buy Bitcoin?" You start selling.

People thought I was stupid when I dumped my crypto when Bitcoin hit 100K. I may not have sold at the complete top but I took a nice profit. At 59-60K I started buying again.

Different crypto's have different use cases. For the most part the only thing that can be used as a 'currency' would be a stable coin. Which matches the dollar 1-1 and is very stable.

Billionaires, Banks, Hedge funds and massive corporations are buying and holding large amounts of Bitcoin. Its going to have some major use cases in the future.

The main advantage to individuals was the promise that it would be completely anonymous and untraceable. That is no longer the case.

You could make money by buying and selling at the right time but that's going to be even more speculative than the stock market which is already basically gambling.

They only hold it for marketing purposes so they can sound trendy, if they don't, they risk sounding outdated to the population that has bought into this bitcoin thing, whether they're right or wrong they still want those customers.

There's almost no real use case beyond fantasy.
