The only way earning 1M/year or more would be worth it is if you didn't actually have to work for it

Such as if it was completely passive income or through a trust fund

Even if you had to work the basic 40 hours/week and made 1M or more per year it still wouldn't be worth it in terms of time

Because you'd still have to trade those 40 hours/week of your life for that money

Realistically, you'd probably be working more than 40/hours a week if you were making 1M+ a year, so you'd probably be trading 50 or more hours of your life per week for it

There's a finite amount of time in a lifetime and it's something that you can never get back no matter how much money you make

And it's not something you can "make up for" later when you're old

Such as people who work hard and long hours during the prime years of their life believing they'll make up for it when they finally retire when they're 60+

The only other way it would be worth is if you absolutely loved your job that you actually rather show up to it for 40+ hours a week rather than do something else or just chill, which is probably something like 0.001% of the population who like their work that much
