Holy fook I hate going out to restaurants nowadays

Prices through the roof. Quality down. Portions down. Bunch of fat, stupid people working there and eating there. Recently I had a gift card to Outback and felt weird going there even when the food was free.

I love being in the habit of grocery shopping and cooking.

I couldn’t even tell you the last time I ate or or got delivery.

Would recommend.

I'm always disappointed when I eat out. If I’m in the city at lunchtime, I might grab a souvlaki from a Greek restaurant, some sushi, or even a burger to hold me over until I’m home. But I’ve stopped getting food delivered or eating out near home altogether.

If you go to a place like Texas Roadhouse, it's still pretty good value for the money. I agree though, I only go out once per week to restaurants and it's mostly drinking.

We meal prep all of my meals but my wife & her siblings love going out to eat dinner. One of them is a bitcoin bro who does not work and he calls at least 2-3 days a week wanting us to meet them for dinner. We spend about $1200-1500 per month eating out. We cook dinner often too but between family/friends dropping in and eating with us its really not 'that' much cheaper then going out to eat dinner.

The real key is finding good local restaurants. The only 'chain' place we eat at is Texas Roadhouse. Even then its not often.

The Sirloin lunch item is pretty good value for money.

Also if you get mac and cheese and the chilli as a side you can mix them and eat them with the bread rolls. Its good as fuck and high calories for the price (even if its a dinner price).
