Be honest. Is the military everything you thought it'd be or are you a little disappointed?

basic training seemed easier than i thought it should be. but all around the environment was serious but at the same time the sense of humor surrounding the military is awesome.

what do you mean "army contracts seats to airborne"?

lol, the army has an airborne program that is autonomous to the army. We teach and certify airborne, we fly the aircraft (along with other branches), we pay the jump pay....

the army is not reliant on any other branch at all to sustain it airborne program.

Meaning I didn't realize seats are something you can get straight out of the school house.

That is cool man, I see you are 20. A little older than most out of basic. Not gonna lie man, right now the significant conflicts are coming to an end. It seems obvious you are motivated to war, but practice expectation management concerning that. Also, start working on your degree. I don't want to hear this "no time" bullchit. It is literally paid for. If you need help setting anything up, let me know. I will talk you through it. You ****ing start doing it right now. Welcome to the team, hope you jump out of my aircraft one day.

Mirin selecting the superior military branch. Absolutely srs. If I had it all to do again, I'd have waited for the army tattoo reg to change and do exactly what you're doing. Infantry, airborne, Ranger. Then eventually try for SF. Also, I don't recommend beginning the rotting process via games. Ranger school is going to ruin your life, so use every opportunity to work towards it.

Also, in on Ironmanlet and smoked04 thread.

lol, not that we would ever exploit our positions for personal gains, but I bet at those airshows chicks love seeing patrol alpha.

Appreciate it bro. right now things are hectic for me, just cause i'm not used to the regular army having been in basic training for 14 weeks. I've got some knee issues that may cause me to drop my op 40, probably after i graduate airborne school.

Once i settle down at a unit i'm going to look into schooling as well as finding avenues to invest money in. I need to check my LES/mypay ****. Where would you recommend I start as far as looking into investing my money?

Mostly during secret service missions where I front like I'm an agent and waiting for rides out of Jersey to the ME slaying bar sloots and under cover dependents that leave out being married.

I def would have done it at air shows too but never worked any.

As a prior NCO I suggest you immediately go to a used car dealership off base and start investing there. Like ASAP.
