If Williams is out, then I like Swift. Fournette admitted this week that he is playing through a lisfranc injury, which will ensure that White will continue to have a significant role and Fournette will have limited big play ability. Either way, Fournette is the safer play if you just need a safe floor with limited upside. Unless his foot falls off, they are going to keep using him. He is part of the hurry up package, is still good at falling forward in short yardage, and is probably the best RB in the league at blitz pick up, so the snaps will be there no matter what.

Jamaal out will give you the Justin Jackson show for 30 Carries for 30 yards. Still would probably play swift in that spot as a swift owner myself. Maybe BRob instead if Williams plays. So in your spot I guess it depends on Williams.

Brahs who would start at Flex? Devonta Smith/Tyler Higbee/James Cook

Also as kicker, Nick Folk has done me good a lot of games but this past game he got me 0 points. Should I still roll with Nick Folk or put in someone else?

In another final , feelsgoodman. Didn't think this team would get me to the final since I have had a weak RB corps all year long..

QB Allen
WR Tyreek Hill
WR Chase
RB Kenneth Walker
RB T. Allgeier
TE Schultz/Higbee
Flex Devonta Smith
K Nick Folk

Devonta Smith no question.

Folk is probably a fine play but I don't like starting kickers on chitty offenses.

Would also go with Smith and agree Folk is fine. He's been putting up points all year so he's as likely to continue doing that as anyone else regardless of the 0 point game. It was a weird situation where the Patriots sh*t the bed early fell behind 22-0 so they needed touchdowns in second half, one of which needed to be a 2-pt conversion. Failed the 2-pt conversion in the first TD, meaning then they're down 16 and needed 2 TDs with 2-pt conversions.

It's not like Folk was out there missing field goals. Pretty sure he's like a top 5 kicker this year. No reason to sit him.

All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. My team showed up and I put up 150 in the finals despite Henry. Unfortunately so did my opponents. He had Ekeler and ETN and has Allen and Diggs to go. Spare me.

He has Higgins too. Forgot about him. So I have a 40 point lead with 3 monsters left against. Need tonight to be the Singletary show.

Won my BML league with Burrow and Mixon still to go. Evans basically won me the week early but Adams officially put it away. Pretty much all 4 of my starting WRs (Evans, Adams, Pittman, and McLaurin) had high bust potential this week so I'm surprised I actually won.

In my other finals I'm down 12 with Higgins vs his Gabe so there's a chance I could win that too but I'm happy either way.

up 30.5 against tee higgins tonight. as long as he doesn't have an absolute career game i win my 12-man work league. nice consolation although i felt more invested in my other team.

Championship game paying for those 27.7 swift points on my bench rn (fuk you fournette). Up by 4.5 with higgins to play against Singletary, 80% chance to win (doesn’t mean chit, last week my opponent was 91% chance to win 10 minutes before my last guy was done playing).

Will I win? Don’t feel great about this one, cheers to lots of James cook tonight

Swift going off is the only reason I still have 31% chance to win. Only had the luxury of sitting him a couple of games due to injuries. 31% isn’t great since Allen goes off just about every game but it’s not over yet.

Now all you need is for the NFL to cancel the rest of the game and call it a 7-3 final with all stats counting as is. Badda bing, badda boom, show me the money.

Yeah not really sure how this will end up. No one even said a word last night about fantasy in our group chat. Frankly neither of us will be upset with what happens fantasy wise given what happened at the game. Scary ****.

Got wrecked in the championship. Kirk, JJ, Menshew and Goedert put the nail in the coffin. Dude has Burrow and Chase last night. I had no one and he was already up 50 points LOL.

I knew that was going to happen. I never actually win the championship. Even Jalen Hurts playing would not have helped me.

In my ESPN league, the app (not the league commish) posted a note that said this week was suspended and extended until the game is completed (if it is...). Obviously, everyone's primary concern is for Hamlin's health and for the rest of the players and families affected, but this is going to have serious ramifications for fantasy football, which is a billion dollar industry, if the final game of the championship week is abandoned with both teams having multiple every week must start players. Imagine coming into the game like 10 points behind with Allen starting and thousands of dollars on the line in a high stakes league and the game is just abandoned and never made up. Oof.

I was 1 for 2 in championship games. One team, I rode JJ and Hurts to the game, but that didn't work out well this week. In the other, I dominated the league from the start, finished the regular season 13-1, and won the champ game comfortablydespite2 points from JJ.

One of my leagues has one guy down 5 with Allen + Mixon.

It's going to be a mess if this game doesn't get played and there's not an official solution. I know that sounds cold given the circumstances but it is what it is.

My league wanted to have the two of us in the championship settle the winner by who scored the most goals in our beer league hockey games. Sounded fun but I won’t be able to make many games so that’s out. Don’t really know how this will end up.

I've seen a couple proposals to address the mess with the Buffalo-Cincinnati game.

1. Wait until it's resumed/played, whenever that is, then count the stats. I think this is the most straight forward solution, but there is a chance it's just abandoned.
2. Count the stats for the players involved for their week 18 games (sometimes with the option to sub in bench players but not FAs for their week 18 instead, but sometimes not). IOW, take Allen's stats against NE this week or Burrow's against Bal, but count the week 17 stats for everyone other than Buf or Cin.
3. Use the platform's projections to determine a champion and split the pot. In other words, if one player is a 60-40 favorite according to the Yahoo projections or whatever, then the 60% favorite would be declared the "champion", but the prize money would be split 60-40.
4. Call it a tie and co-champions.

Is there anything that's been discussed in your leagues? I'm interested in hearing what other leagues are doing.

i'm the commish but was not in the finals of that league this year. i'm pretty annoyed at this point because it's been a non-stop beef on the group chat.

-one of the teams in the finals had joe burrow going and wasn't down by much. do we assume joe goes on forward to have a great game and he wins? i guess so, but nothing is guaranteed in the NFL. absolutely NOTHING is ever promised. Joe could throw a pick the very next play and roll his ankle tackling the defensive player who made the INT. game over, done.

you say "oh but that's not likely" ok sure but neither was a player going into cardiac arrest, freezing the game. none of this is likely.

I'm at the point where i was going to venmo both the guys half the winnings and let them duke it out. i told them take the money, go to a steakhouse, run the bill up, get wine and dessert, have yourselves an evening and call it a day. i am beyond tired of debating it.

3 is what I've been seeing the most of. If someone is projected to win and currently has the lead I can't blame them if they don't want to straight 50/50 split.

Assuming it's reasonably close. If it's lopsided then the team likely to lose usually concedes in leagues I know of.

I think the best thing to do is tell them if they can't agree privately then you're going to just pay out after the regular season is officially over based on whatever the final stats are from that game, whether it's finished or not.

this fuked my fantasy football leagues championship game

AP Breaking news reporting the game will never take place anymore now

one has burrow and the other has allen

they were 2 points apart before the game so it was going to be a nail biter of a game and now it got suspended we were going to wait it out

but likely just going to have to make them split the winnings instead, this is the only solution
