Blown away by xbox360 in 2026

So way back in like 2013 I bought a chipped Xbox360 the later revision that had HDMI and didn't get yellow ring of death

You could ftp your own roms up to the hard drive

Haven't played it in ages

Hooked it up today, it still works, loaded up Forza and can't believe the graphics are 20 years old

it looks like they barely made any improvements in 20 years to me

This stuff is perfectly fine on a modern TV. I feel like the only big benefit of ps5 is the load times. IDK why everyone wants hyper realistic graphics then you just get uncanny valley effect

I bought it in 2013. I'm a nerd that likes to play with hacked consoles though as I get older I have less and less time for it.

I was looking at selling it since it's unused and testing to see if it still works

I can't believe how good it looks, it's 20 year old tech. It looks great on a modern TV

I play my modded PS3 occasionally and yeah it does look like a recent console. Mind is blown it's been 20 years

Meanwhile my modded PS2 feels fairly ancient

Would play mine if it didn't die (again lol). Still have all my 360 games too. Miss that era of gaming.

And ya it's nuts how little progress has happened over the last 20 years. SSD for loading times is the only one that I really care about. Everything else is so small I'd trade all the gayness of modern games for normality we had back then.
