Any Miscers here program ESP 32 micro controllers in CC++

I think it’s time to get into microcontrollers, as I’m wanting to do cool chit all the time like have a hidden radar sensor that you you can wave your hand over to activate linear actuators etc , and seeing as conventional rgb led strips are being phased out for addressable ones , I’m thinking I may as well learn how to use these micro controllers and get it over with .
I have this feeling allfather is an expert at this. Anyways I ordered a starter kit that’s arriving tomorrow , and seeing as my foot is still fked this will give me something to do .

i know a little python and have a few of these micro controllers esp32 and pi-pico but really only used them for emulation experiments or specific projects with code off github that someone else built.
i've been thinking of picking up circuit python to play around with them but i need to actually sit down and do it.

Yes this is my problem to , actually sitting down and doing it . I missed out on a great work table today , as I’d like a table with lots of room so a guy can lay out everything out nicely.
Going to organize my spare room tomorrow and get one of the Ethernet’s active so I can run my computer in there . Looking forward to coding etc , and after googling it it recommends learning in python first .
I’ll see what’s involved in the tutorial . My kit just up today so I’m pretty stoked
