I was considering it, mostly because I thought Black Desert Online seemed like a lot of fun and this one has a lot of potential / looks impressive.

I've been interested in this game since it was announced (2019). But I don't have as much free time for it as I'd like these days (pregnant fiancé).

A couple of things that detract from it so far for me is it has that warriors-like / hack-and-slash vibe (fighting 20 mobs all at once). You can't create your own custom character with its own build it seems, gotta play the chick for a wizard/ranged vibe it seems. Game seems almost too open world to a fault.

My education on how the game actually is is limited though.

EDIT: He says it takes 8 hours before the game gets fun. My track record lately is I play 6-12 and quit, so IDK if I can do that lol.

Probably after a lot of patches and a decent sale. Watched the reviews etc .... Still not entirely sold on it to get it at full price/release. It looks kinda cool, but at the same time the game and the open world looks a bit too dry and boring to me despite all the reviews praising the exploration.

Definitely have to pick balanced or quality. Performance mode is laughable on console. How's it been for you? I'm at the beginning of chapter 3.

Little past chapter 2 for me. Starting to get more fun once I really learn all the controls and abilities.

I had to a get a new TV srs, no matter what tweaked it still looked like claymation. I ended up buying a OLED. The graphics are still not as good as advertise, the NPC still look blurry but it’s an improvement. It’s just crazy AC Odyssey had better graphics and that game is old.

I like the game but man there are a lot of stupid little missions, not to mention clearing out the Quarry is one of the most tedious things ever.

You prolly need a PS5 Pro to enjoy this games graphics tbh. The PSSR tech seems to be doing a really good job on the console experience. If you're not on console, you definitely need a beefier pc.

This feels like one of those forgettable games that I could easily pass on that got really hyped up for some reason.

I think my biggest problem with this game is simply how I already have too many games like it. Can't count how many big open world action/RPG sort of games I have by now. This looks fine, I got nothing to hate on it with, but there is also nothing drawing me to it either.

I think one of the biggest issues I got with this sort of game is what massive time sinks they are. I simply don't have time for every game like this that comes along, so it needs to really appeal to me or it's just not worth bothering with IMO. That said I often seem to pick up games like this when they are heavily discounted on sale. It's not a wish list game for me but the type of thing I might add to my cart when browsing sale games if it's cheap enough.

It’s your hardware. Looks really good on PC.

I’m having fun with the game but I’m not addicted. The NPCs take way too long to kill so I downloaded a trainer to one shot them.

I have heard this described as a jack of all trades master of none sort of game, as if the devs tried to make a game that could appeal to everyone that ends up lacking in it's own appeal. I have also heard people say it tries to be like Dragon's Dogma, especially the boss fights. It looks nice but graphics and big open worlds just aren't a selling point for me anymore.
