It was cracked day one. But it's a very esoteric crack that most people should not use.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

But this new guy does it the OG way like Empress and isn't crazy

I looked it up and yeah it has been fully cracked. It's insane to think about how far they go and how they inconvenience paying customers considering that pirates won't buy the game if they can't play it, they'll just move onto another game.
