Yeah I agree it's nothing special in a sense outside of just playing through the story, but that is also how I felt about Mafia 1. Mafia 2 is the only one that felt like it had a fun world to play around with outside of just playing through the story. Mafia 3 leaned too heavily into being some GTA clone, so the whole game just wasn't really that fun.

Definitely sticking by this game being for Mafia 1 fans, it totally feels like it was made to feel the way that game did.

Still playing Saints Row 3, there is an achievement for 30 hours playtime, so I am just grinding out the last few hours doing random stuff just to hit 30 hours. Done all the missions, activities, completed pretty much everything I want to do.

Yeah that's sort of the drawback with Saints Row, after you beat them there isn't much to do. It's not like the later GTA games where you still have a bunch of side activities and minigames you can do.

Finished the game. Feel pretty good paying 40$ for it, was a nice break from other games and I think if I paid 70$ it would have been too much. I think the story was good enough, setting was good enough, everything about it was I guess good enough. I finally understand what you mean though, it was good enough at almost everything but nothing made it special, nothing great. All that to say mirin pricing the developers set up, strongest self awareness in gaming's recent history.

Yeah considering it was 2K I'm surprised that they priced it at what the game actually offers. Definitely a step in the right direction for Hanger 13, and I'm pretty keen for what Mafia 4 can offer. I just hope the game sold well enough that the studio doesn't get shut down or laid off lol.

Playing Far Cry Primal currently. Good fun, although I would say pound for pound it is the hardest of the Far Cry games. Due to the lack of hi-tech weapons, you cannot just ace crowds from a distance or scope fools with powerful sniper rifles. You do have basic projectiles, but there is so much hand to hand combat, often against not just huge armoured humans but powerful predators like Bears, Lions, Wolves etc. Playing it makes me think how a 12th century Far Cry might work.

Far Cry games that I have played from best to least good (not going to say 'worst' as none of them are bad) IMO

Far Cry 5
Far Cry 3
Far Cry Primal
Far Cry 6
Far Cry 4

Not including 'New Dawn' as it is basically a huge DLC for 5 and not a full game in it's own right

Started playing Achilles: Survivor yesterday. Solid auto-shooter bullet hell game. More Deep Rock Galactic Survivor than Vampire Survivors (which seems to be the measuring stick for every auto shooter roguelite game)

This is one of those games where they took a completely different direction from the prior entries in the franchise. Reminds me of Tainted Grail, which was originally a turn based card battling game that became an Elder Scrolls style game with it's sequel. Here the first game was basically a Diablo style ARPG, and I played that for a while and enjoyed it for what it is. Doesn't surprise me how the devs could do a good job with what they did next as that had a lot of quality. I will definitely have to check this out as I really enjoy games like this as something I can just sort of autopilot.

I was playing Resident Evil Requiem when it came out and led to another binge of Resident Evil games. I replayed RE4 Original RE4 Remake, RE7, RE Village. Then i went back to Try RE5 which i didn't like at all when it came out, but enjoyed it this time around for what it is, a fun Co op game. And there's still games online going on, so although its a crappy RE game overall, the gameplay is fun and fun co op.

Now i'm going back to try Black Myth Wukong again, i only got a few hours into it a year back.

About done with Burnout Paradise already. Not a huge game, and once you have blasted out a few races, got your licenses and got the achievements you want, there isn't much to keep you hooked.

Dropped Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 like a bad habit, fuck that game is boring bros.

Currently rotating between RE9 and Mouse P.I. for Hire. Both are fun games for different reasons but both are eons ahead of KCD2. Can't believe people wanted that game to win GOTY. I want to play a game, not some boring slopfest.

Whenever I watch ppl play KC:D2 on Twitch, it is just people walking around talking. Can't recall seeing any combat. If I am to play a fantasy RPG or historic RPG I want it to be combat heavy, like Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, Witcher, Greedfall etc.

Spent some bread on dat dere Pragmata (no pedo). This game is amazing, the combat is super innovative with how you're controlling two characters at once between the protag shooting and girl's hacking mini-game to open up the weak spots of the robots. The dialogue can be a little corny with a lot of forced reddit le wholesome girldad moments but it's still pretty cute and funny at times. There are some really unique and entertaining boss fights throughout the game and lots of places to backtrack to in previous levels as you unlock more abilities to collect stuff. I haven't finished the game yet but I've reached a point where you find out some pretty crazy plot twists, I can't wait to find out how it ends. It's only April but I think either this or Resident Evil 9 should be GOTY (though they're probably going to give it to GTA VI because the average goycattle gamer loves whatever Rockstar poops out)

I notoriously skip dialogue in games. Which I did in Horizon Zero Dawn free this month I think? Anyway the hacking bots with the Megan looking droid. And the astronauts guns are satisfying to shoot and blow up enemies. The boss fights are just plain fun!

You don't have to preface it with No P3do, people who think Pragmata is for P3dos are outing themselves tbh.

Playing an indie game called 'Slaycation'. Its a top down shooter. Bought it for £1.50. So many small (as in low memory) indie games on Xbox marketplace now.

Game is good fun. Good weapons and a fairly smart upgrade system.

Playing Power wash simulator. I tend to like simpler games now that you can just jump into, as supposed to long winded games with learning curves and long dialogue scenes all over the place.
