Wasn't aware of the rarity. I'm not a seasoned player by any means. Running is often the only thing you can do in this case, I think.

Finally finished Act 2 Hell last night because of this. Thats how important it was for a physical melee character. Those ghosts basically cockblocked me for days. Probably should have made it sooner in a easier to find base but i didn’t want to waste the runes.

I was gone all weekend, and yeah read all about that. Then yesterday, down. Today, down. Ridiculous.


BTW, do we have a group that wants to do a socket quest rush? I can host/rush today any time the server is actually up. Also have a lvl 40 char in normal that can bump a group to hell a5 if someone wants to take on that responsibility lol

EDIT: Just respec'd b/c I goofed with 10 points in warmth when I started. Fun fact, we all know Shift + Click on stats equals a full dump, but control click is +5 at a time

double edit: I didn't go with energy shield, and I think I made a huge mistake lol

Got a ohm and built a CTA 5/3/2 got annoyed to change my mf gear n risk dropping CTA so sold it and added some to get a S torch 18/18.


Does Baal drop the best loot? Like death fathom etc? Or should I Stick to Diablo and Pindle?

You can sell a Pul for 60fg, but an Um is 100fg, and a mal is 150fg... I was about to go an upgrade spree, but cleared house on um's and pul's for fg.

Nah, there is no general stat on there as far as I know. It starts in alphabetical order so that 1/1919 you saw was for the Alma Negra shield. For example, the Venom Ward has a 1/114 chance to drop which is the most likely item to get from Mephisto on hell with 450 mf.

Between this 50% of the time I try to join a game and the crashing 10 times per play session I don't really know how much longer I'll be playing. Kind of want to ask for a refund but I doubt they will.

Redid Duriel and finished act 3. Hoping I can find a pul rune to upgrade my weapon and it will probably be smoothish sailing to finish hell on the zealot. Then I’m making a caster lol.

Is there an armory for D2 to view gears and build? Curious to see your sorc as I am building mine.
I currently have a complete set of Tals but I don't have any idea on building an MF gear. Is it entirely a different set of gear or you build the MF together with your main gear?

Last night did 10 meph/pindel runs before bed. Run 2, meph dropped my first vipermagi. 26 res… but wait there’s more… ethereal.

Last run, meph drops shako. Das it.

Try a lightning javazon, throwing javelins and having them split into a billion lightning bolts which track onto mobs is oddly satisfying. or using charged strike which fires off a billion charged bolts. Not your ideal farming character but you mentioned being bored of MFing.


Also haven't been able to play because my computer got phucked. One of my fans blew out for some reason and my CPU started to run hotter than usual. My computer would then randomly shut down after an hour or two so then I started to play other games that were less intensive than D2R. Then I started getting blue screens of death every half hour lol so decided to back up all my data and create a windows recovery disk. But then my computer shut down AGAIN but this time it kept power cycling in an infinite loop and wouldn't even let me access the bios.

then had to go through the arduous process of trying to figure out what was wrong. air compressed the whole damn machine, switched out power supply and GPU, remove and re-attach RAM, apply thermal paste to the CPU, etc. Tried to find the CMOS jumper on my motherboard but couldn't so I just removed the battery and put it back. Seems like that did the trick as my computer turned back on without power cycling, but haven't gone through setting up my computer again. Was such a phucking bish to troubleshoot what the problem actually was when it was something as simple as resetting the CMOS. I think the problem was that my Windows/Bios got corrupted somehow (possibly due to a virus or some other random chit).

Now I have to buy some new fans and while I'm at it a new CPU cooler (shouldn't cost more than $100) but thank god it wasn't something like my CPU/GPU that blew out. I bought my GPU 3 years ago for like $500 bucks and now I see it on newegg for like $1100. Just fukking lmao. It's literally the cost of a pre-pandemic mid-tier rig.

Unfortunately GPUs are going to stay inflated for the next 5-10 years it seems at the very least. Time to suck some CCP dick for some heavy metals and microchips. THANKS Xiden.

Servers are a joke. Five days in a row the servers go down in the morning. If I wasn’t so decked out already I’d so consider getting a refund.

Just powered my first toon (Trapsin) through Norm yesterday. Going to keep lvling though 40-45 before my first respec. Hopefully I’ll find a decent Spirit (swd) base this evening.

Playing xbox one, and console isn’t as bad as I imagined it would be. Multiplayer interface is slightly better than D3 was IMO.

yesterday was the first day I was able to sit down and just grind all day. Just got my blizz sorc to level 70, pretty much all day was just farming Andy - Ancient tunnels - CS - Baal with some LK sprinkled in here and there in nightmare.

Only real drops were Trangs gloves, and Tals belt and helment which I threw on the merc.

Just started hell and it's still kicking my ass with the cold immunities and the merc not strong enough to really deal with them yet, feelsbadman. Need to find a superior socketed weapon base to make a new rune word for them or something so they can do some more damage.

right now farming hell ancient tunnels cuz no cold immunes - where else would people recommend farming for a poverty blizz sorc at my level? should i go back to NM CS/baal runs?

Full Tals is good but I'm not a fan of the weapon/mask. Don't recall full tal's bonuses but I prefer just the armor/belt/ammy because that gives you a 65% mf + 20% fcr bonus.
