I guess i'm one of the only people that still enjoy playing this game after all these years. I think if you consider it an item collecting game you're able to enjoy it more.

I've been running pindle/trav like crazy with my 500 mf sorc and finding some decent stuff. Waiting for a big high rune drop that will come eventually, and hoping for a Griffons eye to drop. Trying to work up to building an ICE runeword for my bowazon atm. I'll be playing a lot of Elden ring when it comes out today, but after all these years i still i love this masterpiece.

think Blizz gave too much of a gap between release and the first ladder. hopefully my boys haven't been turned into hollow husks from playing Lost Ark by then.

Modern gaming in general is trash with microtransactions and dlc and so much fancy bs that is not catered to the players experience, it's catered to keeping them engaged and creating a constant revenue stream.

agree completely brah

too much chit on the screen and numbers popping up everywhere, i prefer simplicity. the aesthetic of d2 just chits on most games too, love the gothic and dark feel to it

Not playing LA much, letting my friends carry me lol. I actually like all the mechanics and systems but the MTX/EnGaGeMeNt bull**** is way too draining. By the time I've done DaIiES I could've killed Trav like 20 times.

Sad to say D2 remains GOATed because it actually lets you play the game and reap its rewards at any time, whether you consistently play 30 minutes a day or you hibernate for 2 weeks then **** off for another 2.

Brah I haven't played since like 2 months after it released. It just didn't hold my attention like it did when I was a kid. Grinding hours and hours for one drop with D2's horrendous drop rates just ain't it for me brah.

I still play a little but I would probably just play Project Diablo 2 mod on OG d2. Actually thinking of buying regular D2 to try it out.

Might skip this ladder, still stuck in Lost Ark grinding and the changes to this ladder are pretty marginal. Plus they destroyed dclone hunting which was what I did at release.

anyone still playing? recently got back into it again but created an offline character. playing it for 2-3 weeks so far sporadically.

some highlights

- found a sur and an ist rune in the same hell cow run lol ...
- found an SoJ off of Mephisto, apparently these rings have like a 4-5% chance of being an SoJ
- still kinda cheesed I havent found a gheed's charm and an oculus after like 500+ mephisto runs, but I can't say the drops I got were bad bc i got a Shako, Arachnid's Mesh
- still need more Tal Rasha gear, War Travs, Maras

found another Shako lol, got a vipermagi but with chit resists ... still no Oculus though.

was levelling my javazon and found a Tal Rasha amulet on normal lmao. Was fully expecting it to be a Civerb's or something so that was a pleasant surprise.

Having fun once again though playing offline may hamper my ability to get specific items I may never find ever. But I only play an hour here or there so not very hardcore so Im gonna take my time with it

I hop on every few days. Haven't worried about the ladder. Running through nightmare with a summon necro. Found my first occy after years and years of playing. That was nice.

occy's aren't terribly hard to find, damn. but apparently it drops a bit more on nightmare cuz loot tables
