Funny how people chitted all over the Wii U when so many of the beloved Switch games were actually released for that first. I played NSMBU, Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, and BOTW on Wii U (with an honorable mention of DKTF which I still haven't played yet). Add WWHD, TPHD the entire virtual console, and backwards compatability with Wii games, and the Wii U was a vastly underrated system.

agreed, it offered some of the best games of the generation

you did need to ditch the WiiU pad for the Pro Controller lol

DKC TF is one of the GOAT games, you seriously have to play it

I played thousands of hours on my WiiU gamepad screen, only times i played on the TV was when i was playing Wii games. Same as my switch, still haven't even docked it yet. Also another amazing game for WiiU that was also released on switch is Rayman Legends.

I keep telling myself to get DCKTF but keep procrastinating. I'll get it eventually.

lol I'm completely opposite, I've played exclusively with the Pro on WiiU and my Switch hasn't left the dock in years (also Pro Controller there, fuk the joycons)

find it hard to even imagine how Nintendo visioned their chit being played, but looks like you can lol

Bump

Since getting my Switch a few months ago I’ve beaten:

Mario Odyssey(base games, still a ton left to do in it)
Mario 3D World(not Bowsers fury yet. Letting a friend borrow it)
Mario Deluxe

Then I downloaded the built in NES and SNES and beat Super Mario 1, 2 and 3 lol

Legit odyssey is the most fun I’ve had playing games in a while. Haven’t gotten lost with time playing games like this in a while either.

My brother beat Donkey Kong. Loved it

Definitely my favorite purchase this year besides my pure custom Bauer Vapor hockey stick lol, which cost more

DK TF has been the closest I’ve come to tossing a controller since I was like 13 lol. I’m only in world 2. The bosses are hard and that ducking rhino level.

My brother said you can grind lives in level 1 so I went back and got up to 99 lives lol. In for a longgggg play through

Prob start Luigi’s Mansion in October for the fall/Halloween vibes. It’s an interesting game. I started it. Played for about an hour.

Beat DK Tropical Freeze. I swear they made this game to rob you of lives. Legit. You HAVE to grind level 1 to get lives because the later levels are made to kill you

Those Rhino levels sucked. I was too quick. I had to slow down lol
