Brock Lesnar Reportedly Said No to Face Fat Loser Wyatt for Mania

According to Fightful Select, a reason was not given as to why WWE did not book Lesnar vs. Gunther for Wrestlemania. The outlet mentioned that both Bobby Lashley and Bray Wyatt were also considered for Lesnar at the event and Fightful noted the following…

“We’re not sure necessarily when Bray Wyatt was pitched as a possible opponent for WrestleMania, but he was mentioning it as recently as right before WWE Elimination Chamber. Sources familiar with the situation claim that Brock himself nixed the idea, though we weren’t given specifics as to why.”

It is true Brock vs Wyatt was the plan but Brock nixed doing any of the spooky/funhouse stuff because he thinks it’s stupid and a waste of his time even though fans seem to love it.

Good for Brock. Bray is the worst thing on WWE by a long shot.
What would have been funny is if Brock agreed, then just no-sold all the spooky nonsense, goes into Mania and just squashed Bray.


I don't like to root for people to lose their jobs, but when release time comes around, if I'm WWE Bray would be first on my list.

wish he would've agreed to one of those stupid fuking gimmick matches and then went into business for himself and shoot destroyed that fat piece of garbage. would've been a top 3 wrestlemania moment.

Some fans here probably did. I don’t remember. But if his gimmick is not good enough for Brock, that’s all I need to roll with.

I personally don’t hate him or think he sucks. He’s just not worth Brock’s time to me. Nothing more.

Bray Wyatt should have wrestled someone like Edge at WM, at least the feud building would have been fun and result would have been unpredictable.

Kinda early for Gunther to get that kind of push, I know he's that kind of talent and deserves that kind of push, but first I would give him some kind of singles uppermidcard exposure and then build a match like Brock Lesnar vs. Gunther, probably around Summerslam 2023 or Wrestlemania 2024.

I know WWE has kinda ran out of serious opponents for Brock Lesnar, until they build Gunther or Cody Rhodes into long time main eventers.

At this point, Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley in a Last Man Standing match at WM 39 would have looked better on the card. If not again, then why not Brock Lesnar vs. Sheamus?

more i think about it, more i think they should keep wyatt booked strong so they can feed him to cody either at summerslam or even sooner. he's gonna need a strongly booked monster heel to overcome out the gate or he's gonna look like a flop. bray is at least over and has mystique even though he sucks. it wouldn't be like kane being danielson's first opponent after his big mania win.

Brock can do whatever he wants, and that's ok. Gunther's just as much of a nobody to me. The ceo's and management and whoever else need to go to Brock for permission.

Correct, Brock didn’t want to do any of the spooky firefly funhouse stuff with Bray. The match itself would work. And be better technically than Brock/Omos.

Otis looks super fat but how long has he been a member of the 1,000 club? Anyone can get super fat but the man is insanely strong. He also has an amateur wrestling background and was an alternate in the Olympics for the us power lifting team.
Man was rookie of the year his first year in the business. He benched more than anyone In his tryout to 225 lbs x 47.

He deserves a singles push. He’s with a Chad who’s a stud at his height but in a tag team that are on the losing end a lot .

I think both wrestlers are overrated. The reason I dislike Bray, is because he does nothing. I tune in once and awhile to see how they are using el Legado del Fantasma on SmackDown! only for Bray to take 30 minutes of the show. I skip threw it. Legado is shown for like 5 minutes losing to the b version of the street profits. Tune in the next week and Bray is at it again, talking. They try to build him as something sinister, when the only people he's scaring is the same people that think the blair witch project is scary. Then they try to say he's the most violent superstar in the WWE, when he's plain, I've never seen him do a syringe match. Instead he's doing a Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match, what a joke.
