Congrats! Arguments could be made how Austin is the best, but no argument could be made how Trips was the best.

Yeah Steven Cold Stone is pretty good...top 5 of all time easily. He's no Hulk Cena/John Hogan or anything but he is up there for sure. If you watched WWF specially from like 1997/8ish to 2002/3ish for those few years you could easily be mistaken to think he is the best of all time no questions asked.

I agree Austin was the best -- but his time came and went in a flash, unfortunately. Injuries, especially that botched piledriver, really robbed us of a longer time w/ Austin firmly at the top. They kept him around "in the mix" for about as long as they could, having him share spotlight w/ the Rock or eventually turn heel and work tag matches w/ Hunter, then to appear mostly as a character and not really work angles where he'd need to bump.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

agreed.
I feel like Austin himself is protecting the legacy he built by not having matches currently, so it doesnt diminish his body of work.
