WWE2K23, Anyone Got This?

Before release, many sites are worried it is just a slight upgrade. Turns out almost all reviewers/critics/players are loving it.

Anyone tried this? What’s your opinion?

20 years ago they came out with Here Comes the Pain, and they haven't come close to touching it ever since.

20 years later and the hair still looks like crap.
Other annual sports releases have decent looking hair. If they refuse to have decent hair in the game, WWE should just tell all their wrestlers to cut their hair short.

To be fair, we got 10 years of copy-paste jobs with SvR and another 10 or so years of copy-paste jobs with 2K. So basically 2 games since the glory days.

That's not fair at all. They barely put any effort into these games. They totally deserve the criticism.
I guess that's the consumers fault for buying the same broke games year after year.

I think last year’s game was totally made from scratch especially with how bad WWE2K20 was received.

I even got the plat trophy for it. Will probably get the new one but maybe later this year when it is cheaper and I have enough break from WWE games. Just played it a few months ago.

Really? 2K22 felt very much like 2K19 to me. I have all of them except for 2K20 and 2K17 and I can't tell them apart.

That was what I read. But I have to recheck. Maybe they just used the same programming but re-did all to squash the bugs.

Got 2K23?

If I had a PlayStation 5 I'd probably buy it, haven't purchased a video game in years.

The last wrestling video game I had was the one with Randy Orton on the cover, WWE 12.

Still playing 2k18 and I hate they finally shutdown community creations.

How are the Community Creations on 23. Wanting sting and a big wcw roster and attitude era

I think they've tweaked the mini-games they make you play at certain parts of the match or maybe the reversal system. The animations largely stay the same. Motion capture work is probably really expensive and time intensive.

Didn't get the game. Tbh still need to finish 22. I hate how they cut down the roster and make you pay real or in-game money to play guys like Nash and Hall. I do like the idea of a John Cena showcase. I still think the WrestleMania showcase from 2K14 was the PEAK.

I bought the Icon version. I would wait for a sale to be honest. There's minor upgrades not enough for the price tag. In universe mode there's a bunch of bugs. You book a match and once you go to the match screen, tag teams/managers disappear. I can't even book a 3 on 1 beatdown on Dominik. GM is the same with more match options, it would of been great for the promo option if you actually saw a cut scene of a promo. The creation community is finally building up, last week it was dead. The uploads were mostly legends that were in the game last year, mostly. With 22' I couldn't stop playing it, with this one I'm already on OOTP 24 and MLB the Show 23.

I'd cut them some slack on that. Big Show is still a young up and comer. They probably needed to borrow some moves to flesh him out in the game. Once he gets more experience he will develop a more in depth move set.

I wish they'd go more into the arcade direction. I hear the AEW game is going this route.
