Only just heard about this now.
I dont watch AEW.
FFS, those 'reporters', every single one of them, make me want to knock them out based just on their voices alone.

Fightful is reporting today that CM Punk has told AEW he wants to come back and wrestle. So things could get more interesting in the future.

I'm not a doctor, but could exerting himself to the extent necessary to win a hardcore wrestling match and title, then immediately bingeing on lots of sugary food be a very bad idea, especially at his age?

Doctors know precious little about nutrition. My guess, after a long match like that his glycogen stores were low and all those carbs and sugar, for the most part, simply went to restoring them. He also drank a lot of liquids, if I recall. No clue on how blood loss might effect blood sugar levels, insulin response and glycogen levels but my guess there is, of all the problems he had that night - it was the least of them. Plus, he ended up using a lot more energy after the scrum beating up Nick Jackson.

He also already tore his triceps in the match anyway, so he might have just said to hell with it.

Only watched a minute of it

Heard about some drama awhile ago but couldn't be fuked finding out what about

Something to do with being a drama queen and got in a scuffle with someone


I thought punk was pretty good for that year following his "pipebomb" promo

But now I don't see the appeal, comes across as one of those sjw who always wants to get his own way with everything

I can see punk being arrested or pulled over and is one of those guys who argues back to the cops about "his rights"

AEW Reportedly Sets Tentative Plan For CM Punk’s Return


CM Punk could be making his return to AEW in a couple months, if provisional plans hold true. Fightful Select reports while nothing is certain right now and things can absolutely (and that should be emphasized), there is a working and tentative plan for Punk to return at the June 21st episode of AEW Dynamite in Chicago at Wintrust Arena. The report notes that there were pitches around announcing the appearance ahead of time, potentially around the Warner Upfronts that are scheduled for May 17th, though the report does not mention if the announcement went beyond the pitching stage.

As was reported earlier this week, Punk has said that he wants to come back to AEW and has pitched ideas to do so. He has also been willing to work with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, though as noted the Elite have been less keen about the idea. Punk has reportedly been wanting to have a meeting involving everyone for a while, though there’s no word on if any progress on that has been made. There was also a meeting planned between Punk and Chris Jericho, who have had issues, to see if they can work together.

The report notes that there has been more movement within Warner Bros Discovery regarding an announcement for the rumored Saturday show being designed for a “soft roster split” to allow talent who want to stay separate from particular situations to do so. Members of the roster that Fightful have spoken to have heard about the talks for a new show, but not about Punk’s possible return.

Cliffs: CM Punk is tentatively scheduled to return on 6/21 in Chicago. Also, AEW is supposedly getting a Saturday show and will potentially “exile” people that don’t want to be around him to that show.
