Why Are Most Wrestlers, Especially Main Eventers Wearing Black Gear?

HHH, Lesnar, Reigns, Austin, Rock, Snitsky, Goldberg, etc etc etc.

It is rare you see a main eventer with other colors. Bret is pink but also black, HBK and Savage - different colors, Cody- white, Norman Smiley - yellow, etc.

Does black look good for tough guys or are they just trying to look slim?

Snitsky was not a main eventer. It's not his fault.

Hogan never wore black. (Edit: Hogan switched to black after turning heel)
Ultimate Warrior never wore black.
Ric Flair never wore black
Backlund never wore black.
Andre switched to black after turning heel.
Angle never wore black.
Cena never wore black.
Edge never wore black.
D. Bry never wore black.

Hardly rare.

My theory is they wear black in case they piss or shiot themselves during a match, the dark colors hide the stains.

Tommy dreamer said he wrestles in a T shirt because he identifies with the wrestling marks. He said he is just one of them, a wrestling fan who was lucky enough to make it.
