Is it an arm and a leg for dealer to ship it ?

I did one time.. bought a used Lexus from a Ford dealership in Texas from pics alone.

Showed up with cash, was in and out of the dealership in 30 minutes lol

gonna be renting a 2022 corolla next week on vacation brah. no XSE or hatch, though.

btw I have bought a vehicle from out of state. I paid a mechanic to do an inspection and they sent a report with pictures (including tire tread and brake condition and paint condition). Decided it was all clear, then paid a company $600 to transport it, not bad at all

wasn't there a service where you could hire someone out of state to go inspect a car, and send you photos & info on it? might have been lemon squad.

Just searched car gurus nationwide, they have 26 but none of them are hatch.

The corolla hatch is a hot car. You will not find it easily or pay above MSRP
