I like the Burnt Bronze for the headers as well OP. Not sure how I'm just finding this thread but looks awesome.

Yeah I just ordered up the Burnt Bronze and am gonna go with that. That was my first thought and seems to be the most popular choice. Thanks for the input!

I only have a few more boxes to go and I'm 5 weeks in. I hear you though because there are guys online who are talking about their builds they started years ago. The only thing that can slow me down is waiting for certain parts, which have all been ordered. I'll quote this post when I fire it up soon.

About two months in and lots of progress made. It's now a roller and I'm hoping I can have the first start up by next month (or earlier). Since the last post, I've installed the brakes, suspension, lift kit, shifter, cerakoted the headers, put in the wheels, fuel system, and sidepods.

This thing is basically a fiberglass bodied go kart and as it sits, I can still lift the front end in the air, as well as the rear. You are basically sitting on the ground as well and the front tires are about eye level. Check out some photos-

Yeah possibly but I hope not! I don't know if you've ever seen Tillett seats which are just a shell with no padding, but people say they're very comfortable. So hopefully these will be tolerable.

So kit cars are registered a bit differently and aren't required to meet lots of safety requirements like airbags, ABS, stability control, etc. or emissions, but do need to have proper DOT headlights, tail lights, reflectors, etc. Most people are familiar with things like the Factory Five Cobra replicas that you see all over the place. Same concept and same requirements. So short answer, yes... it can be registered and is street legal.
