What happens if I don't change the shocks/struts on 2011 Toyota Corolla?

It has 170k miles alot of them have been city miles. its my beater car so I don't care too much about it.

can not replacing them lead to a bigger issue? the car drives like it's on water goes up and down sometimes the front lip hits the pavement if roads are bumpy.

oither than that great car.

This is basically an economics questions. You'll wear tires out faster. Ballpark guess is tires will last about 60-70% of what they should. So you have to make an educated guess at how many more miles you think you'll get out of the car and then figure out if the additional cost of extra tires is more or less than the cost of shocks and struts.

My recommendation is to replace rear shocks if you can because those are usually a lot cheaper and it's a simple bolt on item. Then rotate tires more often or just replace tires 2 at a time as they go bad.

You'll go over a simple bump in a turn, lose grip way faster and get rekt.

Then you'll ask yourself "Why didn't I keep my vehicle safe and sound????"

Maintain your vehicle.
