I never used to now it's a fairly substantial consideration when purchasing my daily driven vehicles. Not sure if gas prices are getting to me or I am just getting old, probably both.

honestly i do not care at all. V8 guy and if i'm not happy with my ride no amount of money "saved" will help me cope.

if somebody doesn't care about performance and just wants an A-to-B vehicle to use as a means to an end, i get it, worry about your gas

I drive 90 miles a day too and from work. I have my grandads 97 c1500 that I lowered and gonna build a decent motor so that's my work/hotrod truck.

I drive a 18 Camry daily for comfort and fuel economy. 37.5mpg

I used to not then I started commuting 29+miles each way in a Jeep Grand Cherokee so I got rid of that not long after Trump was elected and people thought gas was going to skyrocket and got a Lincoln MKZ hybrid.

my commute is much better now. I would love to go back to a truck or suv but since the MKZ is saving me on gas and is paid for, I don't see the point

I average about 15 in the M and 10 on a good day in the Cayenne.

I did when I sold my xterra and got a new daily. Xterra was getting like 10mpg and it was rough

I did not consider it when I got my jeep since it's not a daily and the whole point was offroading anyways


One thing I wish I considered more was gas tank size. While my subie gets over 30 on highway, the gas tank is only 13 gallons so it ends up being around 300ish on a tank. Not that great. Girlfriends audi q5 gets like 550 miles on a tank

I never used to, but it’s becoming more a factor I’m looking at when gas is $4.20 a gallon here for regular 87 unleaded.

I recently bought my sons a 2013 Prius, and it gets 53mpg. Saving me almost $50 a week compared to the 2002 Ranger they were driving.

My wife is a real estate agent and drives my lifted 2018 Platinum/Pro Tundra, and drives the wheels off the thing all to the tune of 13-15mpg. Been thinking of putting her into a Tesla Model Y Performance. Gas savings would pay for the vehicle upgrade cost in 2.5 years. Tough call since the Tundra will run forever, it’s a nice truck I’ve done a lot of improvements on, and I’d rather pay extra money in fuel vs. pay extra in parts. But the Tesla would be quiet, fast AF, and be a much better suited vehicle for her needs. We park in the garage, and it’s already wired for 220 in each bay so charging at night would be easy (if she remembers).

My personal rig is a 2020 Jeep SRT. Drinks premium at almost $5 a gallon and 16mpg. I don’t drive it much so gas mileage doesn’t matter. I mainly drive my company truck (2019 Ram 1500), and have a company gas card.

After seeing my wife’s gas purchases on the credit card the last couple years, and how much money I’m saving with my boys driving the Prius, it definitely has me looking at MPG / vehicle options when it comes to vehicles I don’t personally drive, but am paying for.

For my personal rig, it’s much more about enjoyment, and I don’t mind paying more on fuel.

I do, everything is taken into consideration. It might break the tie between two close cars but it's never been super important.

no. My truck averages 14.6 on the highway. 13.9 around town and I got 10.1 towing my weekend car last Sunday.......and my weekend car gets about 16 around town....7-9 ish on track.

My daily gets 14-15 mpg on average. My last toy that I just sold got 7-8. My next toy that I plan to pick up Friday will also likely be in the 7-8 mpg range. Zero fukks given.

For my daily driven vehicle... Yes... Although what I deem "acceptable" is likely pretty slack compared to some.

My current Daily is a 2012 F150 CC with the 3.5L Ecoboost... I have a fuel mileage tune that will net me on average 23-24mpg and thats 50/50 Highway & City driving.

The Whippled Mustang GT that runs on E85... has 3 465lph pumps , -10an feed , -6an return , & ID1700 injectors... lulz.. fuel mileage= Nuh Bruh!!
