New X5 thoughts?

Wife likes the new X5, anybody here own one?

All the reviews say it’s basically the best drivetrain and best SUV ever made.

Worth 85k fully loaded?

New BMWs look great. For 85k I'd get me something like a Lexus LS or Mercedes E/S Class.

I wouldn't pay more than 60k for any BMW.

Should I return my M3 then?

Op, I really like the new X5, if having an suv that handles more like a car compared to a van like the ones mentioned above I'd go with the X5.

Have had a 15 and a 20 X5. Love them. Every person who drives it, loves it.

The cayenne doesn't really compare, performance its fun sure... but for usability? Nah.

The GL series is very comparable and I am a big fan of those too.

Cayenne turbo owner checking in - please explain how you think a X5 is more "usable." Slightly more cargo space but other than that... I've had 8' trees in my cayenne before.

How does a big heavy SUV handle like a car?

By having a good suspension setup and not that of a Dodge.

Never drove a BMW or rt/hellcat Durango, but the Durango actually comes with a sport suspension. It won't outdo the smaller BMW, but I imagine it's not terrible.
