GDAX will disable bitcoin activity in about 7 hours for segwit2x fork. Is this when bitcoin will probably drop after people get their 2X?

Also why is there 2 MCC thread going on at the same time. The other should get lock lol.

So segwit is going through because a small group of miners went rogue? Will this make it more competitive with eith cash etc

Don't think it's miners. We could make a Bitcoin Misc fork if we wanted to. It's just a matter of support by users and miners.

So are we forking for segwit or is it added to BTC?

if added to BTC then **** BTC forever segwit (from what i've read) centralizes BTC (could be very wrong though lol I hope I am, but I hold other alts)

Lightning Network is already in core, so it's too late in that sense. If you're looking at it from a philosophical standpoint there's always BCH, Monero etc.

- BCH might seize the opportunity to do a huge attack on BTC again

Bought a bunch of BCH earlier at around $950. I'm almost certain they will attempt another go at it in the upcoming weeks. If brahs want to play it safe I'd prob stay in ETH or something.
